I try to not make too many threads about one game but i think its worth it here...

Just wanted to shed a little light on this matchup after talking to a few people from western:

Apparently MIOH is worse than rice, who was defeated by 30+ pts in week 1 against WKU, and are terrible defensively. The hilltoppers should be able to put up over 50 points, and easily cover the 17 point spread saturday. The front 7 of MIOH is very very weak, and their linebackers are not good in coverage which plays fantastic to the style of play that WKU has, which includes play action, short balls, and zip screens. Coming off of a tough game against Bama, western is very focused in and want to get back on track...

Goodluck this week,

I might add them to my card as well, but the one thing that concerns me is the 'Alabama hangover effect' where Bama's opponents can really struggle sometimes in the following week due to being physically punished the prior game.

I would be worried if they were playing another really good team with a physical defense. In this case they are not, and will matchup perfect this week, with the quick play style of offense WKU has they shouldnt have any trouble using their speed to get around defenders. Goodluck 14!

I truly think Miami(OH) is a much better team than a year ago. I was at there first game and I left impressed at their offense. W. Kentucky is better don't get me wrong, but I keep saying the over is the best play on the board here. Again, just my two cents.

since late 2008 teams are 50-33-2 ATS after playing Bama and 25-12-1 ATS if playing a non-conference game.

but last week was 104 degrees on the field....

Wow, it was 104 degrees? No wonder Saban was pissed! I would not want to be Ole Piss this weekend.

Great analysis on WKU game. They just keep winning and putting up points. Kind of crazy how this little small school keeps reloading.

I like the over here as well corn...I just think that WKU will make the Miami OH linebackers look bad in both the running and passing game, which lead me to betting the spread.

Interesting Stat tide, i like the odds there. Yeah i was there, it was almost unbearable...anyways another note on the Bama game, if the tops didnt throw a pick 6 when it was 10-3, it would have been a whole different ball game. Obviously Bama had a bad game too, so i think the score was fair. I think Mike White (QB for WKU) will be prepared to redeem himself after getting the shit knocked out him all last saturday.

They got a few transfers from louisville, and coach brohm is really holding his players accountable, which eliminates the bad attitudes and cancers of the team...my gut says he will leave after next year!

I don't post often in here but WKU will walk the field on this horrible Miami OH Defense. I'm taking them. Their QB and receivers will score a lot and I think 17 is a good number. I locked in at 16.5.

right there with you, 16.5 should get you a winner. Best of luck, I'm leaning towards the over as well. Will probably bet it in the AM
