im an illinois alum and this team is horrible. they are not in the same class as any other team in the conference. in four conference games, they havent covered the posted line once, havent scored more than 14 pts, have lost them all by more than 19, including a game at indiana, the 2nd worst team in the conference. take illinois and the points at your own extreme risk- if you insist on playing this game, i really think wisco is the only play here.

I'm obviously an Illini fan, although a much bigger Illini hoops fan than football. But I am not a homer when it comes to evaluting bets, and I do pretty well betting on or against them. I see no reason to play this game. You don't even have to compete with a team to cover 19. On the other hand, they could also get blown off of the field. How do you wager money against a team getting 19 at home, when they have already beaten Rutgers and led Cal in the 4th quarter on the road? And how do you bet on a team that has lost by 50 points twice? Stay far away and cheer for the Illini. If I had to bet this game, I would wait until the public hammers Wisconsin, and bet the Illini at +21. Public saw last week's Illini game, and they will hammer the Badgers here.

This team beat Rutgers, Brock. Remember that. They are terrible, but are capable of covering this. I hope you bet a lot at the opener, then you can go for a middle when you can get Illinois on Thur or Fri at +21.5. Landing on 21 then would be sweet.

I would also pass. The way the Illini are playing right now, nobody in their right mind could trust their money on them. Still, this could be a flat spot for the Badgers and they could very well take this game lightly. Best to leave this one alone.

Illinois won't cover a spread the remainder of the season! They will continue to get the living shit pounded out of them and Wisconsin may be the worst of it yet to come with their relentless ground attack, pretty tough to stop a guy like Calhoun when you can;t tackle, and Illinois has the worst tackling of anyone..Northwestern and Wisconsin's games will be identical, so remember that in less than a month when the wildcats come to town too...

Whatever they did against Rutgers and Cal was light years ago, this isn't the same team, they are shell shocked and beaten down, they can't wait for the season to be over and enjoy Illini hoops too!

With a game at Penn State the following Saturday and then a home game against Iowa, Wisconsin will have no ambition to roll up the score. Their d-line is banged up and their top linebacker got hurt last Saturday. They probably will rest Calhoun ASAP for the final two Big Ten games.
They probably can run it up, but Alvarez never has been one to do that. Unless they get up by 35 in the first half, Alvarez will be content to run the ball and the clock.
There's no way I'd touch this game.

Brock, Wisky has been $$ all season covering every spread but 1, and I ca$hed on them lw vs. Purdue.

But I don't like them in this spot. Were a gun held to my head, I would pick them to cover the 19, but the back door appears to be wide open on the road with bigger fish to fry in the coming weeks, it's a no-play for me. GL
