They are all pretty generic, so I doubt that there is a whole lot of difference between brands (but Logitech is always solid if you want to stick with a name that you know).
I had the keyboard sitting right by the receiver, and it still missed letters when typing, right out of the box. Then, less than 4 months after purchase, the letters s, v and i stopped working completely.
Currently using a Logitech and like others here, like it and have no problems with it....
Only problem I've ever had was batteries going dead.....when the arrow cursor freezes on the screen you have to pop the floor of the mouse and put in some new batts....when the batts go dead its instant...
Last time it happened I was playing a timed game on Yahoo, in the middle of a minute and a half puzzle.....ran upstairs, got the batts out of the fridge, got the new batts in and figured the puzzle out with seconds to spare.
