Curious what your thoughts are on this team. I've only seen them play twice, and can't get a feel for how they will match up with SIU. I've seen SIU on numberous occasions, and they are the real deal. They play smothering defense, and are just a great team. I was talking to my brother, and we are lost, trying to cap this game. It looks to us as if PK would be a great line, and just let them duke it out. Wondering if you have any West Coast info.

St. Mary's has the guards to match up with SIU...well maybe not to stop Brooks, but to match the SIU guards in scoring anyway. SIU is all about its guards (three guard lineup) especially Brooks and Tatum. St. Mary's' Marigney and Rowland are solid guards. Big question for me is who on SIU is going to contain Kickert in the paint. SIU is a donut team with a hole in the middle. They've rotated Warren, Shaw, Foster and Falker at various times through the 4 and 5 spots. The two starters, warren and shaw, score just 10 points and 7 boards/game.SIU has had problems defending post players with good inside moves (remember Macklin of SMS?). What's amazing about Kickert is that he is 6-10 and has good moves in the post, yet he can step out and hit the trey. The guy shot an amazing 48% from trey this season, including making 7 against Gonzaga in the champ. game. SIU will have to counter that with outside shooting and slashing to the hoop from their guards. My opinion FWIW is that SM has the potential to get much better shots in close and will have the edge on the boards. Not bad angles to back the dog....and especiallyagainst a favorite that might still be reeling from losing the conference tourney after giving up a 23 point lead in their last game.

too much tourney experience and in a game that should be close - i want the guys who are used to this kind of atmosphere and i know won't get tight as opposed to kids i don't know what to expect them to do

i got rid of the hook and played SIU -2 -120 already

Isn't this the first time their coach has been to the dance?

The coach is only 31, and this is his first year as a head coach. But I believe he was an assistant there during their tourney runs. Not sure but I think so. They are a great team, and I can't see betting against them. I'm a strong pass, and will just root for SIU. They are an easy team to like, if you haven't seen them play this year.

i've posted earlier i don't know what to do here for fullerton on the road in a non-conf game in which they have to board a plane is downright scary - BAD! osu is also VERY good at home. fullerton probably does NOT win the game - but getting almost 2B digits they don't have to win to cover. still - not sure what to do here.

i do think this could be a track meet with both teams running up and down the court scoring at will. i leaned to Over 156 and now it is 157

i have yet to fully look things over - and as much as i suck at totals this could be scary - but right now - OVER 157 looks like the only play imight make. i can see both teams hitting the 80s - and at the very least - the winner will.

I see the guard play as a push and Lucas & Dewitz doing damage in the paint. OSU beat everybody but U of A at home. Beavers should win by 10+

agree with Winky on SIU here...

Winky,

have learned that some teams just don't get a whole lot of respect from linesmakers, for whatever reason (see the '03 LSU football team and the '03 Ole Miss football team)...and I believe CS Fullerton is one of them...after reading your post last night about Fullerton and their road record, I did some research...really don't think that this game warrants a nine point line, in my mind seven at the most (which is how I saw last Friday's game against Utah St., felt like I was getting two value points)...just think that CS Fullerton is the play in as you say a fairly high scoring affair...GL my friend...
