I'm kind of new at betting tennis, but these two have been the best players in the world lately, so gotta go with them at these odds. Ivanovic didn't look great yesterday though, and was lucky to get that bounce off the net. A couple plays for tomorrow also.

This year has been wild. Sharapova, Roddick and Blake go down today and that's now the #3, 4, 6, 7, and 9 seeds gone in the mens bracket. Just makes things that much easier for Nadal, but even he struggled a bit with his match today. Gulbis really impressed me early on and if he would have pulled out that tiebreaker in the third set there is a good chance he would have upset Raf.

Sharapova leaving early stunned me. She seems to always be so prepared and focused and there is no way she should have lost in the second round. I'll give Kudryavtseva some credit because she was outstanding today, but Sharapova should have beaten her. It only makes things easier for Ivanovic though.

I am not a tennis capper but here are few points i believe you may have already taken in consideration .

1.Type of surface - each player has its preference playing on one type better or another.
2.Player is healthy and doesn't carry any recent injuries which might end in a loss/withdrowing or retirement.
3.Head to head history could provide some background at times.
4.Weather conditions if outdoor,mostly if windy or not,could effect some players more than others based on their strong kind og shots.
5.Not many players are consistent through most of the season,many have their ups and downs,once some of those reach new record,being finalist or winners of a title,in many cases there would be a melt down the next tourney and you would see some droping in an early stage in oppose to expectations out of a recent winner.obviously this is indvidual thing and there are no set rules here but there would be some who are good fading material under these circumstances.
6.Since you are based in Canada you are not limited to certain sportbooks as fellow Americans are and therefore pick the best bookies for that sport,be it the best lines and or terms for settling matches in case of retirements as some bookes vary in their terms.personally i would recommend you to do most of your single plays as well as live plays in Betfair where opportunities exceed any other book.

Right now I'm thinking over 41.5 games in Berdych/Verdasco, Ancic +125 and Baghdatis -6 games. I would also lean with Reynolds and Bolelli, but probably wouldn't play either.

Those look good. Where do you get those type of bets? Right now I bet tennis at 5dimes, and I checked out betfair, but it was in Euro line format and I honestly don't know how to read those lines.

Yes,i get those at Betfair and by not using them you missing on opportunity for better lines normally in advance along with ability or opportunity to hedge/exit with profit or lock profit on both sides in real time in live play if you have the time to follow it live.If you google odds convertor you will be able to learn the conversion
and use decimal,it is pretty simple once you get the hang of it and in long run your net profit coud be way better when you have better lines as well as opportunities to make extra or win on both sides in real time if you read the map correct.

Ivanovic really played poorly this week. She just never seemed to have any confidence or intensity. Still, after the way the day started I'm happy to be down only a fifth of a unit with Nadal to win Wimbledon the only bet still pending.

Nadal looked absolutely amazing today, but I also have to give credit to Kiefer for staying strong in the third set when he was down 5-0. Most would just roll over and concede the match, but he kept going and took 3 games. I still love Nadal to win this tournament though. He might have passed Federer as the top player in the world.

Nice showing by Zheng today to win in straight sets. Verdasco started off amazingly, and played pretty much perfectly in the first two sets, but is starting to fall apart and Ancic has just tied it at 2 sets a piece. I like his chances to complete the comeback as Verdasco seems to have just lost focus.
