Will we ever see a sportsbook offer 2 way wagering instead of futures?

I refuse to play futures since the vig is way too high. Are these to profitable for the books to let go and offer 2 way wagering? Will we ever see it?

At Pinnacle...

Eagles to win superbowl +582...I would like to -670 offered for the NO
49ers to win superbowl +25000....-30000??

Futures are fun for entertainment but does anyone think futures (in general) have any value to them?

Would LOVE to see more offer this, but the truth of the matter is most do not want to bother doing so.

Too little interest in laying no at -30000, nobody will bet it. Big odds are only practical to bet yes.

Pinnacle sometimes offers 2 way futures.

SCnit, Pinnacle will offer 2-way betting on futures towards the end of each sports regular season. Futures are a great way of making a big score. A few years ago the dope at The Mirage posted the Rams at 350-1 to win the SB. They won.

Um, WSEX was founded on that product. We always used to say it would be nice if someone offered the other side rather than forcing you to bet every other team on the board to get out of yuor position.

For example, here are their top markets to win the World Series:

WS ST. LOUIS 17 21 +376
WS BOSTON 12 15 +566
WS NEW YORK A 10 14 +614
WS CHICAGO A 8 10 +900
WS ANAHEIM 8 10 +900
WS SAN DIEGO 6 8 +1150
WS MINNESOTA 4 6 +1566
WS CHICAGO N 4 6 +1566
WS ATLANTA 3 5 +1900
WS FLORIDA 3 5 +1900
WS PHILADELPHIA 2 4 +2400
WS BALTIMORE 2 4 +2400
WS WASHINGTON 2 4 +2400
WS NEW YORK N 1 3 +3233
WS LOS ANGELES 1 3 +3233
WS ARIZONA 1 3 +3233

Jay C has the right idea here with WSEX futures. If theres a team you are just convinced is a "NO", sell a bunch of their futures short.

You can bet against the NYY winning the world series at WSEX. Thats a good interest play. NYY not even going to make the playoffs.

most offshore sportsbooks offer poor value on futures, but those in the uk (incl. those who cater to u.s. customers, like sportingbet) are more competitive.

at www.bestbetting.com, the best book on the superbowl, between all fixed odds bookmakers adds up to 107%.

that means the bookies edge is only 7% across 32 teams. surely there are a few teams they have wrong and therefore offer value.
22/1 carolina maybe?
25/1 baltimore?
28/1 minnesota?

it seems to me that most offshore books are quite competitive on the favs and longshots, but the mid-range teams like those above are always offered at prohibitively short prices.
