<!--StartFragment --> "We are looking to see in what context Judge Clement made those statements and do they give a window into her thinking on Roe and other decisions," said Rev. Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition. "If we do not feel that Judge Clement is the kind of justice we would be comfortable with, and we meaning the pro-family, pro-life community, we would have no problem working aggressively against her confirmation."

By the way, I have a strange feeling that it may be Edith Jones and not Edith Clement. Just a hunch.

Edith Jones would be a good pick.

The context of her statement that the Supreme Court, "has clearly held that the right to privacy guaranteed by the Constitution includes the right to have an abortion" and that "the law is settled in that regard." Was given as a response to a questionnaire while she was a candidate for the U.S. Court of Appeals. IMHO, she was right in her statement. An Appeals Court shouldn't contradict Law already settled by the S.C.

Well I guarantee she'll be asked the same question in hearings and if she gives a different answer I would expect her to be skewered. The distinction you make is one that would be lost on most, probably for good reason. Settled law is settled law. But your spin is interesting.

Not spin my friend:103631605 If she sits on the high court then she can read the Constitution for herself. As for as "Settled law is settled law" just remember Dred Scott v. Sandford was settled 7-2 against Scott. Change is needed from time to time.

My first four questions for her, if it's her:

1. Hey little lady have you ever shot a gun?
2. Hey little lady have you ever owned your business?
3. Hey little lady are you going to turn liberal on us?
4. Hey little lady do you realize your husband is the boss of you?

I once shot craps at Caesars (at the same table) with Walter Matthau & Jack Klugman many years ago before Vegas became a family place. They were both drunk having a grand time. I learned later they were both degenerate gamblers.

The prices at tradesports are moving fast. Clement now under 50!!! Last trade at 48. Jones up over 30 now. Maybe it won't be Clement after all?

Edit: that was fast. Based on most recent trades, Jones is now the favorite. Last trade on Clement at 32. Jones at 42.

Now last trade Clement at 20! Who knows what? Her shares at plummeting!

I once told Jesse the Body to sit his ass down. Is there a republican senator that will pick GW up by his nostrils and pound a nuggie on his forehead if he picks a potential lib for the supreme court?

HOPE YOU GET YOUR CASH D2!!!
