Another point to consider is this...

Do advertisors receive sufficient value from having banners up on portals to keep supporting the portals?

I see diminishing value here as a real issue.

DANTE- That is a Vegas myth. Prostitution is bigtime illegal in the city of Las Vegas and all of Clark county in which Vegas resides. That is why such places as the CHICKEN RANCH and others reside outside the city limits and Clark County.

Fish, might have something to do with the fact that Americans plunks down 3 billion a year on gambling online.

For prostitution to match those figures, every male in the united states what have to hit an average priced escort once a year.

Also another thing, all of these escorts and massage parlors take amex, discover, visa, mastercard. So the Gov't gets their share.

If you have a beneficial interest ( ie it's really yours) in a 'foreign corp', even though it may have foriegn directors & signatories, it's yours, end of story!

We're on the wrong track in some of the threads on this important development. This is of major concern for this reason:

On 6/11/03 the Dept of Justice issued a letter to the Nat'l Assc of Broadcasters warning them that carrying such adds was AIDING & ABETTING illegal activities. Nothing to do with 1st Ammendment & free speach issues. This could carry over to line services or other facets of the offshores that they could target.
Usually the Feds attack on Secetion 1084 of Title 18 of the US Code. We're all familiar with that. This is different in that they now say Section 1952 & in particular Section 1955 are involved.....ScottyS
