Bobby Clarke has sure failed in picking up over the hill goaltenders for his Flyers, VanBiesbrook, Burke & Others...

I don't think Dom's reflex's are the issue ...
it's the chronic injury that scares me.

His style is so awkward, that's he's bound to tear it again.

If he were a pure stand up, Roy-ish, tender then he'd have a better chance of playing without the injury re-occurring.

as you know, Bonk has wound up with the HABS... He is out of Ottawa & has run his time here...

THIS CITY HATED HIM! although I think it was quite unfair as BONK was a hard worker, but just coudn't get anything done in the Playoffs & was not CONSISTENT during the regular season.

SENATORS have been lacking CHARACTER... I am afraid HASEK (albeit a good goaltender) will not add to the CHARACTER department.

NHL fans have been complaining for the past decade about Clutching & Grabbing & teams like the New Jersey Devils have won the CUP more than once with far from the best offence but rather with Defence, Goaltending & a CLUTCH & GRAB style play....

Hasek is one of the greatest ever. That being said he did VERY little to bring the Wings their cup. Matter a fact he was going to be the Skape goat if they had lost to Colorado in the conf finals. The Dominator was average at best in a Redwing jersey. As Lander pointed out I doubt the groin will hold up and even if it does he will not be the one to take the Sens to the cup.

Those were the good ole days Rob. The days where the most talented teams won. The clutch and grab & the left wing lock crap has leveled the playing field. As dominant as the Oilers were I still think they may have struggled time to time with todays stlye. I miss the days of the 8.5 over -120 hockey totals that was some fun shit
