it seems as if every time Va. tech plays, people are lining up to bet on them - today being no exception.

WHY!

the hokies are "led" by seth greenberg - who is a great guy and can talk a great game with the media - but someone who is one of the worst coaches out there. tell me a coach who has accomplished less than seth - but gotten credit for accomplishing more than him? good luck - doubt you can.

flat out - the guy is a TERRIBLE coach - yet because he is a "good guy" and can talk - people think he is a great coach and back him up with $$$$. tech is 11-11 ATS this season (i am shocked it is that good - actually) which is a losing season ATS-wise.

next season when he leaves te big east and heads to the ACC he is gonna get his brains pounded more than jenna jameson - yet i know there will be people flocking to the windows to bet Tech all the time - because of Seth - when they should be betting the other way - because of Seth.

so can someone here give me a legit reason why there is all of this "love" for Seth - when he is someone who is a mediocre - at best - coach who has only gotten where he is now because of the fact he is a first class "B.S. artist"

Greenburg i believe was at long beach and s. fla. and his strength lies with building weak programs to be competitive, but i agree for the most part with the orig. post that he has severe limitations in bringing a team over the hump, and his teams will never be more than 500 clubs. he had all kinds of talent at s. fla. in a then mediocre conf. usa, and did nothing.

Winky, what is wrong with being a con Artist?
I am a hokie so I am bias, but he has done a hell of a lot better job then Stokes did. At least they play hard now and have some confidence. This team is paper thin, they have one player that would start on another big east team. Seth my not get them a championship but he did something no other tech coach did, got them to the big east tourney.
