Don't let your future bet cloud your judgment...the only reason Detroit did well last week was because they didn't play! I think Tampa goes one more week before their bubble bursts at New York. Maybe a cover is in the cards for the Lions, but I'm not sure. I don't think their defense is as good as you make it out to be. Just my two cents, I haven't come to a conclusion on this game yet.

Lets take it step by step, The Lions arent ready to roar, infact are in a desperate mess health wise. As for the week lay-off, their record after a bye is abysmal, not to mention their road record which continues to haunt them.

Tampa are riding high, and thats because they have a good running game and run D, exactly the opposite to Detroit who without Schless cannot run anything. As for the score, the Tampa WRs are good enough to take advantage of Detroits desperation to stop the run.

Hope I dont put you off posting them though Daddy, I need every loss I can get. Only joking, best o luck the weekend

I'll be at the game this weekend and here's my take. harrington is at best a O.K. QB. Have you seen what the TB defense does to O.K. QB's lately. Ask J.P. Losman how he liked playing in TB a couple weeks ago. Hell they made Culpepper and Farve look stupid allreay this year. I think as long as TB doesn't turn the ball over they win the game easily. Det definatly needs the win more but the game is in TB, in the heat where teams don't play well. Ask Sea, Den, Buf, or Car about that. TB is just a better team. Especially with the new running game.

Lions are the worst team in NFL. This is not going to be a closely fought duel. Lions offense is going to get embarassed for another week & the defense is gonna give Carnell at least 150 yards. It's gonna be very ugly for the Lions this weekend. They play like a lost high school team. They have no leaders on the field & the coaches have no creativity & no respect from the players. Lions are a catastrophe.

Any line below the double digits in this game is too low.

I understand why you guys like detroit and I'm tempted to jump on the bandwagon, but they could just as easily throw another real stinker on the field. Tampa Bay is so confident and if they get up early and the crowd roars and harrington starts freaking out, it could get ugly. They need to score first.

The lions haven't even played in Tampa since 2001. And that was at the end of the season so the heat wasn't a factor. None of the key lion players even played for the lions in 2001 including the coach, so I don't think the Det plays well in Tampa thing really holds much water. By the way TB won that game. and 4 of the last 5.

Don't get me wrong I'm not betting TB. I'm just not betting Det. While Det was better on the road last year they are still just 3-30 on the road in their last 33. Thats just horrendous. The only thing Det has going for them is they need to win this game. TB is 3-0 and can afford to lose. I just dont see the 30th ranked offense doing much against the 1st ranked defense. Especially in TB. Much like there is a reason why teams like NE, and GB always do well in december. Teams like Mia, Jax, and TB do well in the start of the season. It's flat out hot down here and very hard to play in. The florida teams are a combined 7-2 right now. There is a reason for it. It's called heat.

kj: tampa won it's first ever game, after going about 0-1000 or something like that agains the lions. they were a 13- point dog as well. schmidt was the coach at that time, and he got retired shortly there after.
