Because that happens to be one of the sites where they host games.

All teams should be shipped out of their home state no matter what seed they are....

Make it a level playing field...

Well they say if you are a top 4 seed they try to keep you as close to home as possible....I guess because of the economy nowadays....+ it rewards them for having a great season....they should play at or near home...I have no problem with it....and I hate seeing Carolina and Duke playing in Greensboro EVERY SINGLE year it seems....then when my local team gets a shot to play in the regionals like last year at Ford Field....the Spartans end up in the South region playin down in Houston....no luck for me I guess!

The wachovia center is not Novas home court. Your allowed to play up to 4 games during the regular season on a court and still be allowed to play there in the tournament.

It's not like this is a new practice. Good teams are rewarded with sites close to home. They've been doing this for years.

Nova's home court is on their campus. They played 3 games at the Wachovia Center during the regular season (against Georgetown, Syracuse and Louisville---they played Pitt at the Spectrum), leaving them eligible to play there in the tourney.

It's a crappy practice... They did not earn homecourt if they did then let them play at their homecourt... No team should be allowed to play in their home state period...

It's not just the "home court/towne advantage;
Jet lag and time-zone differentials come into play; these players are fed-up with cross-country jet rides.
They've been criss-crossing the country including the Carribean and Hawaii doing it all season long (holiday tournaments/shoot-outs etc).
Now this, when "spring" is in the air.....they have other "things" on their mind. So much for basketball.
