because they play so few games, every game is so important which means your gona get your teams best effort every game and have them trying there hardest....MLB and NBA 162 and 82 game seasons....please....players take nights off constantly, you DO NOT get a teams best effort night in and night out in those sports therefore youre more likely to lose games you feel you should win. Football, when you throw your $$$ down....your gona get 100% from the side you bet.

It's fun to watch and bet on. Very fun to watch. As far as all these people on the site acting like it's going to save them it's kind of absurd.

Late in the NBA season when people were getting cleaned out, everybody was like, this sucks, I can't wait till baseball season. Now those same people, late in the MLB season are saying F this, can't wait till NFL season and on it goes.

I know one thing though. I had a winning season in NFL and doing very well in baseball. NBA and NHL was dreadful for me.

Anyways, I am very much looking forward to watching NFL again but it's not because of the gambling. Not solely anyways. It's football!! How can you not be excited.

Also, NBA, NHL, MLB and all that, they don't go at it 100% because of the long schedule, which sucks to watch when they teams, or players take days off where they don't bring it 100%. In football, however, they bring everything they have for each game and every game is so meaningful.

fewer games and it gets intense, especially when you have a big bet riding on the game

i respectfully disagree with that. you ever put your money down on a team just to have them take a shit in your hat? these days with college football, you got games 4, sometimes 5 days a week. 120 teams, 12 games a year, that's somewhere around 1500 games. that's not even counting the division 2 games some books allow.

i think for me it might be because i have at least a few days to read up on what's going on between games, instead of being done at 11:00 at night and turning around the next morning to decide who i wanna bet. but in those few days, i might switch sides a half dozen times, whereas a sport like nba or mlb once i make my mind up my bet is in because of the time constraint.

every sport is fun to watch, but i do have to agree that it's the thrill that makes it what it is.

nothing like having the time to pour through whatever stats it is that you use, and then making a stand, and then watching the game. unless you're a wild man, you're probably only going to have the opportunity to take that big stand once or twice a week. so yeah, in that regard football really gets the juices flowing.

The five to seven day buildup for each game (regardless of which day it's played) certainly increases the level of discussion, chat and opinions.

And with regard to our online forums, it never gets old watching the couple dozen weekly "new" registrations by guys whose previous couple weeks sucked hootie.

Over/Under on the number of times between now and December we'll read:

"Hi there. Been a lurker to the RxForum for quite a while, but am finally going to post a few winners hoping to help others make some $$"

by the way, i'd take the over. seems like easy money. between nflx, nfl, and cfb i'll be guilty of 3 of those. then there's bowl season and playoff, so make that 5. and i'm only one man.

thanks for -140
