Living in NY and watching the 5 Giant super bowl games..you would think I would learn and go with the team with the better defense. All 5 games the team with the better defense beat significantly better offenses. Also I hate the fact that Denver is getting a lot of sentimental Manning money., yet the line won't hit 3. The bookies generally do not lose.

But at the beginning the yr, I bet Denver to take it all t 5.75-1 . I am also in a pool where I am tied for the lead with 2 other guys One as Seattle and the other guy and myself have the Broncos . My tie breaker 40 thinking crap weather and his is 50...I still may hedge..

WHY DENVER?:

MANNING FACTOR #1 :peyton is a prep freak..while Russell Wilson is taking in Net and Knick games (doesn't he have anything better to do this week?)..Manning is probably going over every nuance of Metlife stadium with brother Eli..

OFFENSE: I do not see the Seahags holding Manning under 23 points.it happened only once all yr and that was in a short week game, not with 2 weeks to prepare.
Unless they score a defensive or special team touchdown, I don't see Seattle scoring over21..Wilson will break containment few times and Lynch is a great back and if healthy will get his 100 yds..add the fact, that weather will not be an issue and I see Manning playing well...also both John Fox and Jack Delrio are defensive minded coaches who specialized in run defense.

EXPERIENCE..It's not just Manning over Wilson, not one player on Seattle have any Super Bowl experience, not 1 game..I don't expect a Barrett Robbins, but the lights on NYC are beckoning..

MANNING FACTOR #2 ..The NFL would love a Manning win , cementing his legacy(how stupid that anyone even questions it) winning in little bother Eli's stadium , after Eli won in Indy,Do not be surprised to see some early game illegal contact or defensive holding calls.

FINAL SCORE DENVER 23 SEATTLE 17

There are many reasons to take either team this year, they are both good and they both have their own pluses that could win them the game. I think you are right about the early penalties, there should be plenty.

MANNING FACTOR #1 :peyton is a prep freak...Then why did it take Manning 9 seasons to reach his first Super Bowl and only two seasons for Russell Wilson?

You probably want Seattle to win (as do I). Thing is when someone has a good point it doesn't matter how we feel.
Tying to convince someone they are wrong is sometimes trying to convince ourself we are right.

I'm hoping Seattle can pull it off but the biggest if factor is how the enormity of the game effects Wilson.
You CAN NOT under estimate how big this game is! There have been some that were fine but not only is this kid under these lights for the 1st time he only has 2 years of NFL experience period.

Mannings dealt with that twice and that's where experience is such an intangable handicapping Seattle.
If the big game syndrome effects Wilson that is the unknown key. If adrenalyn causes high throws or long throws the offense fails. Then all it takes is a fumble or int. to mess things up.

Wilson may be fine but we have nothing to confirm that.
In Manning we know if he's off it won't be the big game syndrone.

Great post. I think the only game that resembles this Super Bowl matchup throughout the year is SEA at Indy and not the NWO at SEA games. NWO like SEA are horrible on the road. The rest of the matchups, while impressive beating up SF and Carolina, aren't similar. For Denver they didn't face any team really similar to SEA, only ones that might resemble are PHI, KC. The two best rbs this year but they run a lot different than lynch. I like DEN too.

yes, because Wilson's team's defense has nothing to do with why he's in the Super Bowl.

got in late from the super bowl boulevard...WHAT A MAD HOUSE..There were times where I literally could not move. Definitely not for the claustrophobic...Lines were insane.People waiting for an hr for a free slice of papa johns pizza? Jesus you could have got real NY pizza a block down the road for $1..NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE THE STUPIDITY OF PEOPLE...I won a few things a the auction, got an autograph from he one person I did not want ,saw Joe Montana an made it down the toboggan ride (1 1/2 wait for 15 second ride)..I will say the Seattle 12th man traveled much better than Bronco fans (marijuana is still not legal in NY) one nutty Bronco fan paid $29000 for a signed game used Manning jersey.

I think my point about Manning/Wilson prep skills may have been over taken..the point was 2 fold. one Manning is a prep freak ( but you still need to make the plays to win and it's a team game.

Also you leave yourself opinion to criticism when the biggest week of your short professional career you take in not one but 2 NBA games..Next week he can take in as many as he wants.

SEAHAGS YES..NOT A FAN OF PETE CARROL OR "ME"SHAWN (NOT A TYPO) LYNCH AND HIS MEDIA BOYCOTT BULLSHIT..

POSTNG MY PROPS NOW..ENJOY THE GAME
