Why doesn't Arz. Fire Mac?

I don't think I have ever seen a team quit like this team. This not just the Coach's fault but they should just fire him now. The next thing I would do is give every player on the team a choice, either you play hard the rest of the year, or go find another place to play. They maybe the most underachieving team in college football ever. Ariz may not have the greatest talent, but to get beat the way they are is a disgrace.

athletic director said he would not do so and that he is his coach.I am curious to see what will happen as they continue to get beat up. If TCU comes into Tucson this week and blows them off the field I cant see how he can remain coach.

I don't know how popular the AD is at Arizona, but he may want to get his resume together too. They should have fired Mac. after last year.

yeah the Ad is not so popular either right now, but he has done a lot of good things for that program so people stand behind him. Amazing how quickly a program can go to the bottom like Az did.They have had some quality teams in years past.

Mackovic must have hidden pictures of AD Livingood.
Plus, Livingood want that AZ image not to be tainted this early in the season.
Mackovic has big contract
no doubt, cashing a big time check and not earning it!!!

This is typical of universities and businesses across America. The head guy such as an AD or VP of a company puts his man in the position. He roots for the sap at all costs. After all, he is the one that put the guy there.

The VP/AD has a good reputation. Either because he made the company money or worked with a Fortune 500 company. In this case, a lot of people like the AD at Zona because of the basketball program being so successful.

I would hope that this Mack situation would bring down Livingood as well. We don't need an AD to support someone that puts forth such a disgrace as this football program. That should reflect on the AD as well as the Head Coach.
