Like its impossible. Today is national milk day. Lets start with that. Cows milk is designed for a calf, not a human. The calf gains 500 pounds in the first year from that milk. Cant be good for us. So instead of that baby cow getting its milk we take it, while the calf gets bullshit. sounds about right. all those hormones come straight through into your milkface)(*^%. Most of peoples lactase declines dramatically after being weaned off breastmilk.

If vegan means I can't eat these BBQ porkchops on my plate, I guess I'm out. I will not drink a glass of milk with them though.

I agree that some can be weird. I think most people choose to ignore the truth because its convenient. It will change your life for the better x10

"Ignore the truth because it's convenient"

What truth? That we all should be vegans?

Please take the stupid liberal propaganda bullshit elsewhere.

Take it back to your kooky PETA meeting.

[h=3]PETA Demands Fish Be Called "Sea Kittens"[/h]
sea-kittens.jpg
PETA's quest to make the world safe for seafood has inspired a new extreme of guffaw-inducing self-parody:
Radical international animal rights group PETA has launched its most bizarre campaign yet, demanding fish be renamed "sea kittens".
PETA - People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals - believes calling fish sea kittens will make sea food less appealing.
It wants to change the image of fish as slimy and slithery creatures by claiming they are similar to cuter, more popular animals. "Would people think twice about ordering fish sticks if they were called sea kitten sticks?" PETA asked on its website.
The sea kittens campaign is targeted at children, which is typical of militant moonbats, and of PETA in particular. Here's a memento from a previous kiddy campaign — comic books intended to turn kids against their folks for devouring the flesh of murdered fish:
yourdaddykillsanimals.jpg
PETA even offers a book of sea kitten stories for moonbats to read to their offspring at bedtime. An example:
Tony the Trout is the smartest Sea Kitten in his school. Already litter-trained at 2 months old, Tony went on to double-major in neuroscience and environmental studies at Clamford University, eventually graduating with honors.
When Tony is caught and fed to a precocious young child who, having eaten one mercury-filled sea kitten too many, falls to the bottom of his class, the irony is not lost on him.
Now we know what future generations will be raised on, after classic fairy tales have been shoved down the memory hole for being politically incorrect.
Whether PETA's propaganda keeps real kittens from poking their paws in the fishbowl in hopes of a catch remains to be seen.

Liberal propaganda? You're always talking that bullshit.

yes ignore the truth.

Meat is often contaminated
with feces, blood, and other bodily fluids—all of which make animal products the top source of food poisoning in the United States. Scientists at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health tested supermarket chicken flesh and found that 96 percent of Tyson chicken was contaminated with campylobacter, a dangerous bacterium that causes 2.4 million cases of food poisoning each year, resulting in diarrhea, cramping, abdominal pain, and fever.

The production of meat and other animal products places a heavy burden on the environment - from crops and water required to feed the animals, to the transport and other processes involved from farm to fork. The vast amount of grain feed required for meat production is a significant contributor to deforestation, habitat loss and species extinction. In Brazil alone, the equivalent of 5.6 million acres of land is used to grow soya beans for animals in Europe. This land contributes to developing world malnutrition by driving impoverished populations to grow cash crops for animal feed, rather than food for themselves. On the other hand, considerably lower quantities of crops and water are required to sustain a vegan diet, making the switch to veganism one of the easiest, most enjoyable and most effective ways to reduce our impact on the environment. For more on how veganism is the way forward for the environment.

The American government spends $38 billion each year to subsidize the meat and dairy industries, but only 0.04 percent of that (i.e., $17 million) each year to subsidize fruits and vegetables.

In the last 15 years, two-thirds of American farmers didn’t receive a single penny from direct subsidies worth more than $100 billion—the funds mainly went to big corporations. The subsidy money spurs the growth of factory farms, which are surprisingly bad for local economies. (They employ fewer workers per animal than regular farms, and they buy most of their supplies outside the local area.) That’s why when pollsters asked Iowans how they felt about farm subsidies, a large majority preferred ending the handouts.

do you want to go into how animal agriculture is terrible for our environment? Or about the steroids, antibiotics, hormones and god knows what else they give these animals. Or the awful living conditions these animals are housed? Or the crap they're feed? Or the inhumane way the animals are slaughtered? Shall I continue? I could do this all day.

You said a while back that the only vegetable you consume is potatoes. You sir can't be trusted. There is no logical reason to consume meat, unless you live in the artic.

sea kittens lmao, peta is such a joke. Their agenda aside, you can't argue that eating vegan when done properly is a healthier way of living. Now practical, enjoyable that is a different matter and you can still eat in a very healthy way while eating meat. Unless you want to do it for a moral reason I see no reason why one needs to.

I don't have a problem with vegans.

If i could do it i probably would.

But after dieting on only veggies & fruits now & then, i still get that craving for meats at times.

If i could rid myself of that desire for meat, i'd turn vegan for health reasons.

Not that i necessarily believe the theory that vegetables & fruits are 'good' for you.

Just that they arent as bad for you as other foods...
