Well it's a simple answer. The rx members lose a ton of cash there.

Ya ya ya, we are all sharps and hit 70%. Bullshit!

Do you think the books advertise here because they are losing money hand over fist to rx members? No way in hell.

Of the thousands of rx members, only a small handful are winning consistently.

The vast majority are coming here to play "the mega super lock game of the millenium" and losing their asses on plays from amateur cappers.

I just imagine book managers visiting the rx and they all laugh their asses off at some of these guaranteed lock mega picks and they just run to the phone to answer all the suckers lining up to place a wager on the pick they saw at the rx.

Wildbill made it crystal clear for us all, the rx is a business, the books pay the bills here, and why do they pay the bills here? because the rx is sending them a ton of losers who are padding the books bank accounts richly.

I love this website, but I have come to this conclusion. The Rx is like a field full of landmines. There are tons of opinions and way too many mega locks and inflated records and it is a serious pitfall for noobs and the casual visitor.

Even the very best cappers in the world struggle to show a profit and after vig, hell that profit is almost gone, so how can thousands of amateurs win at the rx? It is a virtual impossibility.

I remember a guy in nba forum bragging about being rich and up 48000 dollars. Then he said he was wagering half his bankroll on the wizards.
How many thousands of dollars did the books rake up that night from the rxers? It must be a nightly delite for the books to visit this place and see the locks and goy's and blah blah blah.

Well as you might imagine I lost my ass tonight following plays here, so I am not in a great mood. But I think my post is accurate. The books advertise here because the great majority of rxers lose money hand over fist.

Flame away!!!

Not going to flame you but was today you're first night following people's picks in this forum? If not are you telling him that you haven't had a really good night following the likes of bucsfan or whatever flavor of the week poster is hot (not saying bucsfan is a one week wonder) and if you did how come I've never read a post saying "how do books stay in business with the picks so and so makes over at the RX"

Look im sorry about your bad night and hope you can rebound soon enough. I've learned to never follow anyone's picks I don't care how hot or how many units there up i'd rather take the time learning to cap a sport and then work off that.

Don't understand it - it's quite open forum so anyone can post picks, predictions and anyone choses to follow them or not. As for me, before I started following anyone's plays, I checked out their records, checked if their plays suit me and so on. But I can blame no-one if I lose the play he posted, because it's my money, my risk and my reward. I could get angry if I paid for a tout service, but this is free (even touts do not promise they win every night)

The popular view is that great majority of players lose (BTW I had a look at tout site results, it was a rough night not only for Rxers), some of because bad capping, some because poor money management. Moreover as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) at least in theory the bookmaker is satisfied to have balanced action on each side of the play and shouldn't care about the result - the vig is the prize here. That's why books advertise everywhere - more action they get more vig they collect.

Last item, it's gambling. Gambling is risky by definition
On the other hand, during this baseball season I've already made so much cash following picks of "The One and Only BucksPoet":)lolBIG: three great cappers in one), and I think I'm not the only one around.

And really last item:
we (Poles) have and adage: The lord beaten his son's ass not for losing whole village playing cards but for trying to CHASE!

have a better night today!

I've never heard of a book booting a player for following a hot capper...

Smoke,

I hope it didn't take you until tonight to come to that conclusion. Take a look at any contest that has at least 20 players and 30+picks and 70% or more will be down. You have been reading to many Jman posts about how he doesn't understand how anyone can lose.

Holysmoke,

I am sorry to hear that last night was a bad one for ya. But get over it. There will be many more worse nights and if you do not have the personality to endure volatile changes in your bankroll, you shouldn't be gambling or bookmaking...

Lately, you seem to be very critical of others, including me. I don't appreciate it by the way. Personally, I try and do my best to help assist gamblers whether it is in handicapping once in awhile or more importantly, when they have disputes with sports books...

You come across to me as being ungrateful. While I am far from perfect, I have spent many hours a day trying to make the RX better for everyone...

As far as whether ot not most sports books make money from advertising on this site, you are dead on. The majority of gamblers do lose, but the average poster on this site is much tougher than most places to beat from a bookie's perspective...

I have been told that time and time again, which is a big compliment for this community...

I stand corrected Jman, not a contest but certainly refutes my statement. My only point was it is just not that easy to win at any sport. Book's aren't just giving away $$ because it's summer. Nice run by the way jman, I have never even been to that tracking tread before a lot of guys doing well the first half.

Interesting...Yeah, I get ragged on all the time by people saying i don't even make picks and ake statements like I do...

So according to you the second half is harder? I will try to keep that in mind.

Jman, why are you so defensive? I was not implying anything by the "first half", other then complementing those doing well.

Not defensive...I just get tired of being called out for saying baseball is very beatable....I suppose if i said i lost my ass then I would be okay...I think some people need to stop reading the gutter sites, and think for themselves...there are websites devoted to attacking this one, posters who live their lives just to put us down....

If anybody doubts you for saying baseball is not beatable, they are most certainly clueless.

Of the four major sports........BASKETS, FOOTS, BASES, HOCKEY........BASES HAS THE LOWEST HOLD PERCENTAGE FOR THE BOOKS!

It was a common theme year in and year out when I worked in the sportsbooks in Vegas and got together with fellow bookies and we discussed how we all would be happy if we just held 2% in bases in any given month..........we felt like anything above 2% was all gravy!!

In general, football cannot get here fast enough for most bookies when the dog days of summer baseball are in full force.

Do your own homework, and make your own picks, and blame no one but yourself.

Shrink, Please post where I have been critical of you, I do not recall doing that.

Feel like I woke up from drinking about a gallon of whiskey today.

Once again my main point is there is a handful of consistent winners. bucsfan of course is one.

but out of the thousands of rx members, the majority are losing bucketfulls of cash.

Shrink boasts that his goal is 57% for a year and for a veteran like himself that is telling me that the average joe is gonna get pounded. factor in vig and ouch.

This post is not directed at anyone. I am just coming to the realization that this is an expensive hobby and the numbers are stacked way against me.

You cant expect morethan 55-57% no matter how good...and in baseball you don't even need to be over 50% to win.
