Why didn't that last bucket count in DUKE/CLEMSON game??

Not sure if anyone was watching the end of the Duke/Clemson game. I had the over 137.5 and a Duke player made a basket as time was expiring but the refs waived it off. Does anyone know why???? From my perspective the bucket appeared to be good.. What a joke!!! Any and all input would be appreciated.... F---K these Refs!!

soco: i watched the game until the end.that last basket made wasnt counted. it was clearly shot and the ball went through the hoop i feel your pain man. you got screwed. for duke to cover 23 was a miracle. not counting the last basket was a mistake by the officials on the floor.

It was the right call. The basket was made after the shot clock went off.

Technically, they should have put about a second on the clock and given Clemson the ball, but the game was basically over. The teams were walking to shake hands, etc.

Chaser- I guess I will have to argue with you. Duke got the ball with 35.9 seconds left on the clock. The guy shot the ball with about 1.2 left on the clock and it went with throught the hoop at the buzzer. I guess it doesn't matter as the refs are not going to change the call now. Basically the game was a blow out and they just wanted to get the hell out of Cameron Indoor. I wish I had that game on TIVO so I could watch it again. What a joke...

I also had the over 137.5 and I was fuming when they waved off the bucket. However, I do have TIVO and upon replaying it a few times, you can clearly hear the shot clock buzzer go off before the ball leaves his hands. As much as I hate to say it, it was the right call.

We'll get it back tonight.

Glad to hear that Bob.. I heard the shot clock go off but the clock still said 1.2 it appeared. Still very very strange. Hopefully we can get it back tonight.

thanks Hokie for the TIVO update on that, I feel better about my loss,

but is DOES say there is a problem wiht clock and buzzer sync, this is the 3rd time this year.
