Why did Glen Beck leave CNN

Just wondering if there was any reason behind Beck leaving CNN. I always thought he was an idiot but the last few weeks before he left he got even worse if thats possible.

Talking to Ted Nugent he said the people of Texas were going to start a revolution because the states was turning to liberal I guess that was a shot at Obama.

And another show I saw he had the mega church guy and his wife on and he was talking about people needing god in they're life and all kinds of jesus talk it was a bit much. By the way the chruch guy and his wife both had books out, ya they're not in it for the money why his wife also had a book is beyond me.

Anyway did cnn fire Beck because he was being a bigger dick than usual or was it just his contract up or something.

Since he converted Mormon, he's of course living the Square life. By reminding us regularly that he used to be a real Party Animal, we know he hasn't ALWAYS been a Square and thus now he's a more Cool Square.

In my young married life I was the Good Mormon Dad for a couple years.

Go to enough church suppers with that bunch and you'll start carrying a hip flask in no time.

Smart ? He's about as dumb as they come, and it has nothing to do with his politics. Just go back and watch the clip from 2 or 3 years ago where he was "interviewing" (and I use that word loosely) The Shrink about online gambling, if you ever had any illusions that the guy was intelligent.

There certainly were / are intelligent right-wingers on CNN, like Ed Rollins and Alex Castellanos, to name a couple ... agree with them or disagree with them, but they're smart guys ... Glen Beck ? I think not.
