I enjoy posting and reading at the RX,
and I thought the Forum was a nice place to "hang out" but sometimes I really start worrying about this place, first it was Sting with his crap now yesterday,
I started a thread on the thursday night football game as to who I thought might win, I thought I was going to start some good ole conversation, opinions etc.

I was quickly told to do this somewhere else and the thread was locked.

Now at 6:50 am, RPM, who did and said this
starts a post about JOKE OF THE DAY
in the OFFSHORE SPORTSBOOKS/CASINOS area,

can someone explain this to me????????????????????????????

Jabow, I'm not sure I compeletely understand but it sounds as if you started a football thread in the offshore forum.

While this sometimes goes, it is a mod's discretion, especially considering we have a Football Sports Forum where it would be more appropriately sorted. I'm sure it was not a slight against you, just a decision to add your content to the football forum.

we have sports forums for people to post picks and analysis. the offshore forum is somewhat of a blend of topics, but we do at least try to keep the picks in the appropriate sections.

I see exactly whats happening here now,
I thought some how an apology or something would have come out, but then RPM insults my intelligence with his comment about there's a place for picks and no place for JOKES, and the other comment he made.

I got no problem with that my friend. I fully apologize for this.

We had a group decision and it was just yesterday decided that Again this season we will be eliminating picks and sports related discussion to the proper forum. We do not want the offshore to be used for picks.

This situation will be repeated over a few times during foots I am sure. There was no harm meant at all and i apologize for it appearing so.

We will need to make a post explaining that this is the case before we continue, so that everyone knows what to expect.

Sorry for this to have occurred.

The original thread was locked and I assume moved to the NFL forum for the reason i stated above. We are wanting to eliminate picks/sporting event discussion to the proper rooms.

The second post was locked and moved here because of the bashing between you and lander, nothing to do with it being about a moderator.

It is still an open live topic here, so no harm done. And you are getting what you wanted i think, Answers.

As for the joke thing, I would be lying to say i disagree with you. I think the jokes could be done without as well, but we have never discussed jokes in the offshore being good or bad.

There is big discussion today about nudity in the offshore. Whether it should be or not. I am trying to reason both sides.

This bet is simply a function of the chance to make the playoffs and then if they make the playoffs the odds to win the WS. If the Cubs make the playoffs they will not be a big dog in any series because of the rotation of Wood, Prior, Clement, Zambrano they can throw out there. I figure if they make the playoffs they are no higher than 12-1 to win it all, quite possibly less. This means you are essentially getting better than 4-1 for them to make the playoffs now. Cubs 1.5 games behind Houston (1 in the loss column) and they are just hitting their stride since getting Lofton and Ramirez who have added a spark along with a rejuvenated Sosa. Karros is also performing very well. Houston and St. Louis both have serious rotation issues. Cubs Sept. schedule is very light ending with Mets, Cinci twice, Pitt twice and Mil. Cubs should be no more than maybe +120 tops to win the division. +120 with +1200 gives true odds of 28-1. 50-1 is a steal that would provide tremendous hedging opportunities if they Cubs reach the playoffs.
