You are ridiculous. Just because you agree with the War doesn't mean you have to send your children to fight. Our soldiers volunteer to fight for our country and every soldier that I have talked to feels what they are doing is important enough to die for.

"Our soldiers volunteer to fight for our country and every soldier that I have talked to feels what they are doing is important enough to die for."

The soldiers volunteer to fight for "our country" yet our country places them in unjust harm's way fighting civil wars in Korea and Vietnam. The government has a responsibility to fight out of self defense, NOT some other country's defense, and NOT other countries civil wars.

Considering war profiteering and the influence of corporations upon government leaders, the recent and future wars fought that our soldiers feel "what they are doing is important enough to die for" may in fact be losing thier lives for following leaders who have lied to them for thier own personal gain and in fact dying may not be serving much of any purpose at all, except to line the pockets of politicians.

Anyone in today's military is a puppet who has as good of a chance, if not more, of dying for ulterior motives and total strangers than out of self defense protecting our own country and thier own family.

Cause they would get hurt if they went in there. Also, they do not have any combat experience. Plus that place is hot and filthy. Rather vile. They would not enjoy it or do anything to help our cause. I think they should stay at home and continue their education.

Bush is a flappin lunatic and when I hear his wife talk how "courageous George is" for this military blunder in Iraq, I want to puke

Watch how quickly Laura Bush or Cheneys wife would change their viewpts if blood of their kids was being spilled in Iraq ...

The Bush family - from Prescott to the drug addicts in Fla - have become a National embarrassement

dont post when you are snorting the same stuff Bush used when he went AWOL ...

we have over 1700 kids dead because of this jackass and I hope this SOB is impeached as I am tired of the attitude in this country that one is a "Traitor" if they disagree with this war ... NOOOOO, THE TRAITORS ARE AIRHEADS THAT ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO CONSUME ALL THE BULLSHIT OUT OF THIS ADMINSTRATION

God bless our kids in Iraq ... they dont deserve this

They protect my ass, and I can appreciate that, but military personnel are still little more than puppets trained to answer to the slightest whims of thier superiors. Thinking is not an option. Go where you are told and we'll figure out what wars are justified.

As far as finishing thier jobs quicker....do you honestly think a divided country is going to change the reality of what these guys face in a foreign land on a day-to-day basis? Last time I checked suicide bombers didn't check out any polls before driving a truck full of bombs into a public/military area and shredding 30 people....

If you honestly think having 100% support of the American public for war is going to change the soldiers reality then I'm honestly telling you you're full of shit.

You don't think Al Queda wathches the polls to try and change public opinion. Look what they did in Madrid. The only way these people can win is if enough public pressure is put on the President to pull out. Then they would defeat us like they defeated tho pussies in Europe

Marco,
Speaking of having your strings pulled - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8330229/

Wednesday's third story on MSNBC-TV's 'Countdown' looked at the new "TU" or "Terrorist University." Classified intelligence reports say post-Saddam Iraq is serving as a real-life laboratory for the next generation of jihad, a curriculum so complete that it may be an even more effective training ground than Afghanistan was for al-Qaida. Car bombings are becoming so commonplace that today there were four alone in and around Baghdad on Wednesday and a record 700 bombings against U.S. forces in just the last month.

---------------------
Bush has created more terrorists that want to kill us that his business partner, Bin Laden, ever dreamed possible.

Republicults, thank you for endangering the American families -- you a*sholes.

The terrorists aren't going to change thier agenda if 100% of the rest of the population disagrees with them, they still have bombs to build and targets to destroy.

All you guys are going to do is occupy Iraq for years to come and fill body bags along the way.

They don't have to sway public opinion to force us out. All they have to do is continue thier strategy of hit and run bombings and tying us down at the cost of $177 million a day, and a few troops kia every day........sooner or later the COST of the war will effect our decisions and play the determining factor in pulling out in defeat.

Do you honestly think we can spend $177 million a day over there for the next ten or twenty years with no consequences?

Thank God that you people were not around during World War II or there would be no Jews left and we would all be speaking German.

Let's keep things in perspective as far as casualties of war.

You're trying to compare structured wars against nations with uniformed armies with guerilla wars where combatants aren't nearly as structured and have no generals to tell them to lay down thier arms.

With Germany all we had to do is bomb them under and drive them back to Berlin until the white flags came out and the surviving generals waved white flags and signed papers and told thier army to quit.

Terrorists and guerilla warfare plays out much differently.......especially if you're trying to rebuild the government putting yourself amidst the common public and the people who are trying to kill you......which you can't tell apart from each other.

Structured conventional wars are winnable because the targets are defined and the military structure provides a chain of command that tells the rest of the chain to cease fighting.

The terrorists aren't going to stop because some force wasted a few of thier homies, and you aren't going to corner every one of them in Berlin and get the white flags flying anytime soon either. Terrorism is here to stay on this planet.....only a matter of whether you choose to believe it or not.

Go ahead, blow another half-trillion or trillion dollars chasing ghosts in the middle east......put another ten or twenty years into war just to see tomorrow turn out the same way as today.
