One can't help but notice all the women mingling with the players during the game now days giving them a swig of Gatorade thru a straw almost like they are spoon-feeding them like a bunch of "Baby Hueys" and trying to administer first-aid on the field when an injury occurs, I'm certain they would have no idea what it feels like to get kicked in the gonads resulting in excruciating pain.

Football is a Man's sport, I hope they are not there for "other" reasons not known to us naïve fans (long live the cheerleaders and the waterboys).
I suspect political correctness has a lot to do with all this.

I could listen to my team on AM radio and enjoy all three hours of it. I have done it. All of us here have done it. the women on the sideline wouldn't understand nor be interested in that. For us, the games represent opportunity. Career, etc. For us, the games are a passion. A need. Pure entertainment and enjoyment.

Gotta love good equal rights and feminism... Then again everytime at work they need some stuff moved, "hey get all the guys to help move this." That's when I say kiss my ass, can't have your cake n eat it too

Careful guys, some women can't handle a joke and they often get upset when the guys get a little too frisky.

I guess I'm from the "old school" where men had their place in society and women had theirs with respect conveyed for both sexes. I did see every Tarzan and Jane movie as a kid, a few re-runs for the younger generation to view might be in order today. Tarzan always treated Jane with respect and "Boy" always respected his elders. "Cheeta" was the wild card, the trouble maker, but he usually came around when Tarzan put his foot down.

The game of Football was invented by men to be played by men, its nature is combative and hard-hitting, it is a contact sport, even the peripherals can be equally confrontational (brutal). I'm certain there are several in this Forum who were in a few skirmishes during practices and heard many "heated" verbal exchanges on the sidelines or in the locker rooms during half-time where choice "superlatives" were used. This is no place where women should be. There are plenty of places where the Gals can unleash their competitive nature in the sports world today thanks to Title 9 (we still haven't heard the end-results of this legislation when they opened this "Pandora's Box" but that s for another conversation).

Bring on the Conference Championship games and the play-offs, let the Male Animal flex his muscles. I can't wait to see what the Georgia-Alabama line will be and just as importantly, I can't wait to see those Bulldog-Crimson Tide cheerleaders, all on the sidelines cheering on their favorite team............Now that is what College Football is all about.

I want to say this started back in the late 90's early 2000's with Melissa Stark, Jill Arrington, and a few others?

I dont mind looking at good looking sideline reporters. However I hope that EVERYONE knows that they got this job b/c they are pretty.

I still have trouble listening to female commentators (whether good or not)

The WORST is that hispanic softball player who does ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

During a discussion about one of the top pitchers in MLB, she once said she might have trouble with lefty Chris Sale, since she is a left handed batter. She played college softball.

Her overly "expert" opinionated confidence in her role on the broadcasts is maddening.
