Texas has no chance... They are wayyyy too predictable on offense. Their OC is a bum, they're just really lucky they have Muschamp.

Tough to go against Florida after looking at that weak schedule.

No Bama or Ole Miss, Georgia and Tennessee are both "reloading", and FSU is at home.

Maybe LSU surprises some people this year and says "we don't need the BCSCG to be in the state of LA and a QB named Matt to be successful" but this UF team is absolutely loaded.

I'm a little surprised that I'm not hearing that much about Ole Miss. This is a very solid team that was playing lights out football at the end of the 2008 season. And they made their late season win at LSU look easy. They have a very favorable 2009 SEC schedule with their only road games being at Vandy, South Carolina and Auburn. IMO Ole Miss has a very good chance of facing Florda in the SEC title game. And after what they did to Florida last season, who knows what could happen in that game. With very few obstacles in their way and a very easy non conference schedule, I'm thinking about putting a little down on Ole Miss to win the BCS title. I would rate them no worse than the 5th best team in the country behind Florida, Texas, OU and USC. It's worth a shot.

i have LSU beating Georgia in the SECCG

so LSU vs someone, probably USC
LSU will have to improve significantly imo to beat Ole Miss at Ole Miss this season. Plus i think LSU has a bit of a tougher road to get there in having to play both Georgia and Bama on the road.

cause they are overrated

i know you think they played "lights out" but if you actually watched any of thier games , that never happened. its just random press from people who watch the scoreboard.

they are a .500 conference team at best. book it.

theres your one granted wish/question for the year...
you're welcome!

I watched their game vs LSU towards the end of the season. And they did play "lights out" very agressive football. They took it to LSU. And LSU didn't have an answer for it on defense. The team the Rebels were in the first half of the season looked much different to me than the one I saw in the second half. I look for it to continue this season. Whether it's good enough to beat LSU this year is the question. I know LSU has the better personnel. It's just a matter of how much faith you have in Miles to be able to coach them up to their potential.

GS... Ole Miss will be good but I tend to agree with Chris. They are grossly overrated! They'll continue to have the same secondary issues that plagued them last year and losing Jamarca Sanford at saftey is going to be tough to replace. They'll finish better than .500 in conference though or at least they should. I don't think there's any chance they win the west though.

LSU had already quit(for the most part) and aside from Miss state, LSU is by far Ole Miss's second biggest rival. This is the one time Ole Miss could stomp on LSU when they were down. Aside from that, even in Ole Miss's marginal days they always kept it close vs LSU.

You'll see a MUCH different LSU team next year as well. It's nice when you have QB who can move the chains and not throw 100 pick 6's.

At this point it's hard for me to come on here an argue with a couple SEC guys who probably have a better vibe than me of what's going on down there. But I can say that I don't have alot of faith in Miles. If their QB can keep the continue from late last season and build on the momentum of their bowl win, then they'll probably be alright. But they might have to win two out of the three games they play at Georgia, Bama and at home against Florida if they want to win their division. Otherwise Ole Miss has a pretty easy road to get there until they play LSU at home..

GS... Considering LSU's schedule I certainly see your point. I too am not sold on Miles and I think 75% of their fan base isn't sold either.

I think the Rebs are solid and will most certainly compete for the west. Throw in LSU's schedule and Bama for that matter and Ole Miss certainly has the easier road.

Can't wait for football! Unfortunantly, we're entering the dulldrums.

As far as the SEC goes if all goes well it is Florida in a repeat. Mississippi could do it but this year they will surprise nobody. Everyone will get up for them. As far as LSU goes I will go on record as saying I despise the guy. I know personal things about him that would shock you. As a coach, he relies heavily on his assistants and he is a riverboat gambler on the field. This year he has a veteran DC, a competent QB, a great OC who can work magic with an offense that does not turn the ball over. They get Florida at LSU this year but Florida has the week off before that one. It is possible that no one will come out of the SEC undefeated though and if two other teams from other conferences do it might mean no SEC in the championship game this year. USC could scoot, and God forbid maybe Penn St or Ohio St and that would suck. If someone emerges from the Big 12 South undefeated they might go all the way. I actually don't care or will wager on who is going to win the BCSNC but I defintely don't want any controversies or doubt about the two teams that make it there.

This Florida team looks far too strong; other than Harvin this is almost the identical team from last season.

Before you know it, CFB will be here!
