It does happen, but i have to like the Irish here!
Even in a shootout, ND will outshoot the rainbows. ND will also be ready with plenty of fans there.

The line does reak of some funny bizness. after how hawaii played cinci, they should be favored by more....

I personally think Weiss will prepare well and that he really really needs a bowl win badly! So he will pull out all the stops to win.

I am not impressed with the hawaii QB, but the key here will be pressure on each QB. That we have to determine...

AND most importantly, ND will not stay on the beach, i hope. We have to find that out, so i should start calling the hotels in hawaii...

USC, Florida, South Florida, UNC, Florida St, LA Tech, Vandy, GA Tech & TX Tech are playing quasi home games, they'll all have a home field crowd advantage

Don't forget Boise State. While they're not in the game this year, they've played in the Humanitarian Bowl 4 times in the bowl's 11-year history and were angling for a matchup against Bowl State there this season.

you can add BYU to that list

VOR,

BYU may be up the I-15 Hwy., about 9 hours from Las Vegas, but Zona is at least as close if not closer... just several hours from Sam Boyd Stadium. Most of the fans on both sides can drive to the game the night before, throw a few dollars down on the table games, hit up the sportsbooks and feed off a cheap buffet someplace.

Las Vegas also happens to be the city with the 2nd or 3rd biggest Mormon population in the US. However I think this crowd will be about 50-50, that is if there's very much fan interest in the Cats as they've become lethargic over the past 5 or 6 years or more -- even when playing at home they can't fill the seats.

Oh really weiss is going to try and win this bowl game? Like he wouldn't before?

I'm surprised that Weiss has any strings left to pull at all. He pulled all of them a long time ago. Hawaii will relish this opportunity. It would not surprise me one bit to see a 10th straight ND bowl loss hung on CW. I'm still not over the way Syracuse of all teams hung one on him just a couple weeks ago. Now that's the way to finish up a season before you go bowling!

what a joke....

Let the line rise and take the Fighting Irish! :dancefool:dancefool:dancefool

What are you new? This is about money. Plain and simple.

They have to Hawaii play in the game, otherwise there will be about 200 people at the game. This game will be sold out for once with the Irish their.

Look at all the bowls this year, they have tried as much as possible to use regional tie ins.

Like Hawaii in this spot. Irish going to Hawaii, like they don't have enough distractions? ND is a bad football team, and I think Hawaii trounces 'em.

I agree, UH's passing game has hit its stride UC was able to shut it down because of their pass rush. Also, ND hasn't proven to beat any good teams this season.

Weiss is coming back to Hawaii for this bowl so he can look at the top prospect in the state Manti Te'o. But I would take Hawaii in this spot the Irish are really really bad this year.
