Who can get back into the top 10 and stay there where they belong?

It's so great to have Alabama with Saban back in the mix. Hopefully their momentum will carry past this Saturday regardless of outcome.

I'm so sick and tired of middle class teams like USF, Kansas, Wake Forest, Missouri, and Boise taking-up meaningful bowl spots. These schools have no football tradition and I'd rather keep it that way.

Bring back the days where there was a wider gap between rich and poor, parity is killing the game.

I really hope Miami gets back to normal soon! I liked the days of them killing pretty much anyone and everyone in there way! FSU on the other hand I can't stand them! Believe it or not lots of noles fan here in Hawaii. Why? I have no idea.........every year it's the same ol shit this year is our year we are going to be great! Bullshit until that team finds a quarterback that does not have his head up his ass then they will suck!

Miami is on their way right now...FSU, well, I think Bobby is past his prime. We'll have to see how Fisher does when he takes over. I think Notre Dame will be decent, but they need to get a defense. Nebraska is a tough case, as all their success was the result of 2 coaches whose careers spanned 4 decades when you factor in recruiting. Meat Chicken will be back soon. Washington...I'll get back to you when they get a new coach.

Michigan will turn it around under Rich Rodriguez. It's no wonder why the offense is sputtering this year. They returned only 3 starters from last year and lost their #1 QB [Henne-draft], #2 QB [Mallett-transfer], #1 RB & team leader [Hart-draft], #1 WR [Manningham-draft], #2 WR, [Arrington-draft], & #1 OT & overall #1 draft pick [Long]. The defense faired a little better returning 7 starters but the 4 they lost were #1-#4 in tackles last year [Adams, Crable, Graham, Englemon]. That's a lot of holes to fill.

Once Rodriguez gets the players to fit the system they'll return to form. Shit, if they had a QB that could hit an open reciever they would be in much better shape this year. True freshmen are #1 & #2 in rushing [McGuffie & Shaw] & #1 & #2 in recieving [Odoms & McGuffie]. Michigan will be fine.

Miami will be a power w/in 2 yrs ... Mich w/in 3. don't see either FSU or Nebraska on their way up too quickly and both Washington's will be Pac-10 doormats for a long time

Miami - Already turning the program around. Will be a top 10 team as early as next year but most likely in 2 years. Team loaded with freshman talent and a good class coming in. Coach is a great recruiter but does not seem to be as good as an in game coach.

FSU - Recruiting well but coach is past his prime and will have to be replaced before they make any moves.

Notre Dame - Great recruiting but the fat man does not seem to have his team playing well with the great young talent he already has... Coach may need to go...

Nebraska - Rebuilding... Not sure how long before they turn it around. 3-0 but lets see how they do vs. Vtech and some other solid teams.

Michigan - Good coach and will turn it around quickly.

Washington - Not sure how long you go with Ty.

FSU: can't look that far ahead into the future. Depends on the Ponder situation (can't say I was impressed)

U: If Marve doesn't get hurt I see it happening in 2010 as predicted.

Nebraska: Nice QB and decent enough defensive coach. Its time to monitor recruiting.

Notre Dame: charlie recruits well enough thats for sure but does he make players better? Still up for debate. 2009/2010 are the telling years for them or shall I say him

Michigan: Rod will win. No doubt in my mind. Its a question of when not if

Washington: When is Ty leaving again?

Common theme here is that, outside of Washington (who obviously has neither), we've got great recruiters who don't have a clue about the X's and O's.

I think Pelini will prove to be the best pure coach of the bunch, but can he actually recruit to Lincoln?

This weekend might tell us how far along Nebraska and Miami are making progress. Like the NFL, Vegas must love parity in the NCAA

Out of those teams - I think Michigan. RichRod is a way better coach than Shannon. But right now, Miami has way more talent than the others.

ND- I believe we still need to give the fat man another 2 years to see where he is leading this team. We need to remember he came in to a bad situation and it is only fair to give him a few years to impliment his plan.

I am a huge Florida fan and Miami is on their way back. Shannon has a no nonsense policy down there and will hopefully bring these boys back. There is no hope for FSU and college football in Florida is just not the same when UM and FSU are in the dumps. Miami has speed and speed kills. Shanon needs to work on the offense but their defense will be the highlight of this team in the future.

I don't know how much this week will tell us about Miami really. Both Miami and NC are stacked on defense while the offenses are still pretty one-dimensional. NC is no longer a cake walk so if this game is close I don't think you can say that Miami isn't a very good team.

Why the hell not? All they seem to need is a damn offense, but for their lives, they still can't sort it out.

His situation wasn't that bad at all. Quite a bit of talent on his team the first two years. Don't believe that shit about Willingham leaving the cupboard bare - on poor recruiting class.

Weis is a very poor college head coach.

Notre Dame will be the first to become a power again, there is no doubt in my mind. I actually think Weiss is a good coach, and one of the best recruiters in the nation. They will eventually be a top 5 team again and stay there with how much talent Weiss brings in.

Next team will be Michigan. Michigan will get top players every year simply because they are Michigan. Now they also have Rich-Rod who is without a doubt one of the top coaches in the nation. This team will be contending for the NC within 5 years.

Miami also has a chance to regain national power very soon with their recruits. They're still a couple years off imo, and I think they're overrated right now, but they'll be back. Won't take much improvement to start dominating the pathetic ACC though.

I don't see Washington, Florida St or Nebraska becoming top teams anytime soon.

I've never understood why that is. While south FLA is a bit more of a desirable location than, say, Tallahassee, UM is still just a small private school that mainly rich Jewish boys from the East Coast go to who couldn't get into better schools. The student population is a very bizarre mix to say the least, their facilities are some of the worst in the country, and now they're playing in an NFL stadium in the worst city statistically with respect to supporting their teams at the gate.
