Washington D.C. might be the U.S. capital, but according to Amazon.com it's still not the country's Most Patriotic City.
The online retailer released its list of the nation's most patriotic cities today, with Virginia Beach, VA topping the list.
Miami came in at number two while D.C. was listed in third place.

Virginia Beach was selected out of cities with populations above 400,000 that purchased the most flags this year

To decide the rankings, Amazon only looked at cities with more than 400,000 residents, according to WJLA.

It then factored in who had purchased the most American flags between Jan. 1 and June 24 this year.
It's not shock so many Virginia Beach residents purchase flags as the area is known for its strong population of Navy men, including many members of the elite Navy SEAL teams.

A Washington Post story noted that following Osama Bin Laden's death spotting a SEAL in the town had become something of a local sport.

Rounding out the top ten from highest ranking to lowest: Atlanta, Las Vegas, Tucson, Ariz. Charolette, N.C., Seattle, San Diego, and Raleigh, N.C.
