Answered ad ; "Need help with Gambling, show up tonight." I was slumping so I did. Total bust. Expected to hear of dog systems, tri wheels, parleys and such...but no. The whole place was a bummer. Guy after guy with tales of woe is me, bad beat after bad beat. Was even depressing me. So I get up and try to pump them up. "Everyone goes through this. Get small. You'll be back in the winner's circle any day now. In fact I have a hot tip on a game this weekend that should get us right." Guess they didn't like my style. Asked me to leave. All in all a wasted two hours.

Since GA got brought up again, I thought I'd bring this back from the dead to see if any new posters have info they can share for our friend starting to attend meetings.

I've been to one meeting and i never went back. I thought I had a problem, maybe I do but i was jsut very bad at money managment and betting without money to support me. Most were horse bettors and not sports gamblers. Out of the 10 that were there 1 other than me was into sports. One Lottery, one was a compulsive shopper/spender dunno why she was in there but she was. its been 2 yrs since that day and I never want to even think of even considering going back. I was dumb 23 back then, now i'm a smarter 25.
