Yep, 10 players on the field, but Freeman did not want to run somebody out there and get a penalty, he says. A half yard pentalty.

Worse, ND goes down the field a few times early, Hartman passing for good yardage, though they did not score.

SO Freeman decides to run the ball up the middle the rest of the game against one of the best, most physical defenses in the NCAA, wastes the skills of one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, maybe the most NFL ready one. Pure stupidity.
