I don't know about that, I'd heard the kook label on him long before Fox slapped it on him.
I've read some Libertarian stuff before and liked it, but when I hear Ron Paul talk I just don't connect those ideas to the ones he is promoting.
Any truth to the charges that he's a racist? I've read a lot of stuff allegedly from his early newsletters (around 1992) that they say came from him, and it's pretty racist sounding.

no what got us into this trouble has nothing to do with capitalist ideology. everyone in the us was living on borrowed money, i sold mortgages and refineced homes on stated incomes to make a buck to pp that did not qualify. but who cares if pp have money and banks r extending credit to pp that dont qualify for it. and the economy has been in the crapper since Billy boy Clinton who was almost impeached by the way for all of the libs that think he was the model president. he shut down all barriers for global trade and made it impossible for us to compete.. the unions in this country r the down fall of manufacturing in the us...there is no room in the us for unions.
