SHARPS do...but that is a trick question!!! They do, but they middle out many times! So it is not the same as taking a side and sticking with it. If you are a SHARP that does not middle then you can still be a sharp and wait on watching line moves into your favor closer to game time. Am I right, or am I right?? Come on give me some loving? RobFunk...you know you like it...come on...that is the answer...right? Well, let me know guys. tulsa
Yes, it's sharp money, IMO, at the least it's money from those that wanna be considered sharp, in their own minds.
Betting early to get a middle/scalp by anticipating a line move is sharp, even if you expect 1st bet to lose. Buying -108, while expecting to be able to get +115 on other side some hours later ... IS SHARP !
The sharpest bet their NFL when lines come out, maybe overbet it, knowing more often than not their position will provide a better position some days later, same with hoops, MLB , etc.
A true square doesn't jump the earliest line, he waits while the favorite becomes more of a favorite, and the over rises.
Genuine sharps trust their numbers and intuition and back it with $$$., then they let the chips fall wherever they may land. This helps the books determine a real line. ***** books wait until this daily ( nightly, really !) proceedure has settled on a more stable number.
