I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume most believe a combination of Texas, Bama, and Florida are there. I like Iowa and Boise as my other two. I'm a huge UT backer (so take this FWIW), but here is my order:
1. Texas
For their back to back to back wins against OU in Dallas (16-13), against Mizzou in Columbia (41-7), and against Okie State in Stillwater this last weekend (41-14). It sometimes takes the offense a bit to get in the game, but their defense can keep them in the game against any opponent in College Football.
2. Florida
Jesus (aka Tim Tebow) seemed to be playing more like Tebow against Georgia. I'd say he's still only around 80-90% though, personally. It's been three weeks now since the triumphant return of Jesus and if he can come back to a full 100, the Gaytors will beat Bama in the SEC championship and play for the title.
3. Iowa
Should've lost, could've lost, might've lost. But they win. The Big Ten has been waiting for someone to step up other than tOSU and play a Rose Bowl game as contenders as opposed to double-digit dogs. I think Iowa has a very good shot this year to beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl (if that's what happens). It's a neutral field as opposed to a home game for USC. This would be a great game.
4. Bama
This would be higher if they had one big win. This week is their chance. The Va Tech win isn't looking as impressive as the Hokies continue to lose; Arkansas, @ Ole Miss, and South Carolina just aren't those huge wins that I'd like to see. It's scary that Vegas sees them as a nine point fave at home against LSU, because I just don't see it.
5. Boise
Down a bit because of the tight game at Tulsa. But these guys keep winning and the Oregon win looks more impressive this week than it has all season. I still don't think they would beat any of the top 4 on a neutral field, so that's why they're at 5.
Just missing the mark: Oregon, Cincy, TCU, LSU, Ga Tech.
Just wondering what everyone else thinks.
