As of RIGHT NOW.......

My top three choices are BOSTON, TAMPA BAY, and OTTAWA.

I have been a lifelong Bruins fan, but live in Tampa now, so I have a real love for both the Briuns and the Lightning.

Having said that, maybe I should just say OTTAWA.

Freakin jeremy jacobs is such an ass. I was watching the B's last night. Man they sure look impressive despite all the losses over the last few years. You can put together a reeal decent team with all the castoffs they let go rather than give a raise to. Can anyone name all the good Bruins that have left recently. I will start with Billy Guerin.

San Jose, they play playoff style hockey all year long and play well on the road. Same for the Flyers, but they go through such long cold streaks I am afraid they might run into one at the very worst time.

IMO. the race to win the Stanley Cup is wide open. Obvious favorites are Colorado, Vancouver, Ottawa, New Jersey, Philly and Detroit. (in no particular order). Dark horses include Boston, Toronto, Tampa Bay, and San Jose.

Tampa a darkhorse???

They lead the entire Eastern Conference amd trail only Detroit by ONE point for the best record in the entire NHL.

This team is getting NO respect!!

They are for real and do not say they do not have playoff experience because this team almost made it to the conference finals last year...........and very recently added Sydor to the roster.

Granted they are an underdog to win the Cup, but this team has as good a chance as any team!!!

Wil- I understand what your saying though......I reckon they are a darkhorse since the majority are not giving them as much chance as other teams.

On one of the Canadian sports shows, one of the announcers saw a few Tampa road games with Scotty Bowman and Bowman himself said Tampa has all the components to be in the finals and he liked their chances to win it all.

Tonight is a good test vs New Jersey. What better way to make a statement than to beat (decisively) the defending champs?

I saw that, less than 10 seconds to go Lecalvier ties it up. Then The Nings and Dave Andrechuck win it in OT. Heck of a game.

How about that Philly/Ottawa Game, appropriate here as they are both bigtime contendors...that's hockey...plenty of goals & a brawl at the end of the game...Those who say fighting isn't good for hockey should take a look at the film of this game...the fans were rabid during the fights...
