Purdue's offense is averaging 49.3 points per game, on an astounding 561.7 yards of total offense. Few QBs nationally have gotten it done like Orton, who has completed almost 70 percent of his passes thus far (.698), for 982 yards. He has already thrown 13 TDs in the first three games and has yet to throw an interception.
The running attack of the Boilermakers is quite impressive --205.7 yards per game. Tailback Jerod Void leads the charge, with his 5.6 yards per carry average. Void has rushed for 213 yards and two TDs, on 38 carries.
Notre Dame's defense has been tough against the run but not in the pass....They are giving up 225 ypg....so what do you think one of the best team's in the country in passing is going to do to this Notre Dame secondary.
I see this as a struggle until the 4th only because Notre Dame will get some turnovers until Kyle Orton takes control and leads Purdue to a winning touchdown drive.....
