NEWS ALERT - President Obama Resigns

Late this evening word that President Obama had resigned began swirling throughout the United States. The reports indicated that Obama had decided to terminate his presidency due to the failure of Obamacare and numerous other domestic and foreign policy fiasco's that had been the hallmark of his administration.
A press release from Vice President Joe Biden's office stated that Biden, next in the succession line for President, was preparing to head for the White House to take the Presidential oath of office and looked forward to working with Congress to get the country back on track and moving in the right direction again.
John Boehner, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, next in the succession line for vice president, issued a statement saying he was honored to serve as vice president and looked forward to working closely with President Biden and Congress to get the country back on track and moving in the right direction again.
John Kerry, Secretary of State, issued a statement that he was on his way to Washington DC to take the Presidential oath of office and that he looked forward to working with Vice President Biden and Congress to get the country back on track and moving in the right direction again.
Upon hearing of President Obama's resignation, over a hundred million citizens across the country took to the late night streets singing, dancing, cheering, hugging, kissing and setting off enormous fireworks displays. Millions of people were heard shouting "Free at last! Free at last! Free at last!"

President Obama, utilizing the national level Emergency Broadcasting System went on all radio and television networks at 12:01 AM ET, Sunday morning and announced that he had not resigned and had no intention of doing so as this was a "year of action" and much progress remained to be accomplished. Obama said he did not know how the resignation rumor got started but that the FBI would begin investigating later in the morning and those responsible would be held accountable because they had crossed the line.
John Kerry, Secretary of State, has issued a statement that he had not meant what he had said before he said it in his previous statement. Kerry apologized for thinking that he was next in line for the Presidency.
