Don't do it. Just say no. If I never delved into horse racing I would be alot wealthier today. If you can get your hands on "steam" horses, you will make money. WEEKENDALKI - Whilst I agree with you that Horse racing is the hardest sport to make money if you don't know what you're doing - it is the easiest if you do!
If I and others can make 10-20% on total stake over a season, it can't be that hard but yes you have to have an edge and there are numerous methods of analysis that can get you there but the constant thing remains that there is more opportunity in horse racing than any sport for the odds compiler (in the case of the UK) or the betting public(in case of US pari-mutuel) to get it badly wrong.

Valueman you are right but did you realise about 1 in 100 people beat the horses before rebates with rebates may be as many as 5 to 10 might winor break even you know you dont win from stories hard work only and taking every edge you can still be very aggravting but odds and value makes the difference also rebates trying to play without rebate cut your chances
I like www.ehorse.com and www.myhorseracing.com. Rebate better at myhorseracing, but the ehorsex comes in handy for exchange bets.
