I'm so sick of hearing how great these teams were. Best conference ? No doubt ! Best teams ... No Way ! I said all along no way the Big East deserved 3 number 1 seeds and no way North Carolina shouldn't have been the overall number 1 seed.

I'll Give you the 2nd Part of your Statement.... But You Lose your First one.

Hmm, Three #1 Seeds, and TWO of them Made the Final 4 :think2:

If you care to check my past posts, you will see that I've been saying all along that no way the Big East gets 3 number 1 seeds. Also all of my posts all year have said North Carolina is by far the best team in the country. Do you want to know when I purchased my first North Carolina to win it all ticket ? Well I'll tell you June 8, 2008 and that was the only ticket purchased until recently when on March 3, I bought Michigan State at 50/1 here in Las Vegas at the new M Casino. I hate it when all you can do is try to run other people down. Get a life and pay attention and perhaps you can make some easy $$ also. I never make a wager in which I don't feel I have an advantage whether it is Video Poker or future wagers.

Having the number 1 seeds always gives one a easier path to the final 4. The toughest game you have to face is a 4 seed until the bracket final. The big East deserved only 2 and the proof is that Michigan State who should have been the other number 1 seed just showed U conn how defense at a Championsip level should be played. Big East....Gone !

The "one and done" format of the NCAA tournament does an extremely poor job at picking the "best" team.

I don't think anyone in their right mind really thinks the Nova team that beat Patrick Ewing and Georgetown was the better team. Just like no right thinking person outside the state of North Carolina really thinks Jimmy V's NCSU Wolfpack was really better than Clyde Drexler and Phi Slamma Jamma.

I do not know if Michigan State would win a four of seven match-up with either Louisville or UCONN and neither do you. But the fact that Vegas had both Lousiville and UCONN favored tells me something.

The only thing that really matters is MSU won those games but it doesn't prove that they're the better team. It only proves they were the better team on that particular day...much like Nova and NCSU before them.

Big East was far and away the best conference in the tourney. They won as many games as the ACC and Big 10 combined. That they had no teams in the finals is irrelevant.

According to Railbird, the refs made sure Michigan St went to the Final 4, so that explains why Louisville lost.

I said it before the tournament started so I can say it once again. The Big East did not deserve to have 3 number 1 seeds and they certainly did not deserve to have Louisville beat out North Carolina for the overall number 1 seed. Once again getting a number 1 seed makes it far easier to get to the final 4 as the highest seeded team you have to meet prior to the bracket final is a 4 seed. Everything is a matter of opinion and thats what makes gambling gambling ! My opinion is that Michigan is a far better team than any team in the Big 8 at this point in the season and I think they have proved that on the floor and I have been covering point spreads and 2 nd. half wager on them ! Those gamblers that have a different opinion have been crying in their beer. The Nova game you mentioned was an exception as that 1985 team shot something close to 80 % from the floor when they defeated Georgetown. That probably wouldn't happen again if they played 10,000 times JMHO. If you will just look back at what I said, you will see that I clearly also think that the Big East was by far the best conference this year. However I can show you posts I made before these games were played where I said that it is teams.. not conferences that will take the floor and the best teams are clearly North Carolina and Michigan State. Must I post for all of you the scores of Michigan State's total domination of the so called overall number 1 seed Louisville and then their impressive destruction of the other number 1 Big East team U Conn ?
Read it and weep ...... No Big East team even made it to the final. Nobody remembers who finished 3 rd. or 4 th 10 years from now ! March ahead and prepare to make some $$ tomorrow and remember this. If you simply follow the crowd.. There is no $$ left when you arrive at the window !

Dear Big East Conference, thank you for participating in our tournament. Unfortunately, our viewers decided that your overrated participants might benefit from riding sweet yellow pine while watching our Monday night festivities.

It's like saying the team that wins the tourney isn't really the champ unless they have the player of the year as well. The sum of their parts makes them the best team, and, yeah, there might be better "parts" elsewhere. The Big East has the best group of teams - maybe not the singular best one, but the best overall.

We crown a Champion based on who has the best team right ? OK The big East had the best conference.... I agree but who cares really ? I sure don't ! Write it down for posterity. The 2 best teams in the Nation will play for the Championship tomorrow and the Big East isn't involved !

Yes , Mich St. is playing in the National Championship game tomorrow.
No, they are not the second best team in the nation.

Sorry but Michigan State is playing for the National Championship and perhaps you are correct. Tonight We will find out whether they are the best team in the country. One thing is certain. No Big East team deserves to be rated in the top 2 ! They proved themselves inferior on the Basketball court already. Read the scores, watch the games, learn to deal with it. Best conference ..yes ! Best teams ? No way !:103631605
