Huaraches is decent. You won't get a brain taco, but they cook the meat on spits.

for me the best mexican spots are the hole in the walls. i was never 1 for the high class mexican restaurant where a burrito is $10. thanks for the feed back guys. appreciate it.

Does not exist in Costa Rica (good Mexican food). We are spoiled in the US.

There is a Place in Paseo Colon, its on the street north to Pizza Hut.

Maria Bonita or something... Never been there but my brother tells me its quite decent.

Huaraches is great. I had lunch from Tacontento yesterday and it was awful. Not awful but expensive and you can get a better meal at Taco Bell.

La Botana Picante in La Rotonda de la Bandera used to be amazing (next to Fridays) however i believe last time I was around there it seemed closed.

I can also vouch for Jalapenos Central.... great eats! Will definitely have to try Huaraches when I'm in SJ.

i might have been to that bar maybe once. and that food place was good from what i remember. just looking for a different "mexican" place to try out.
