Winnipeg: highest per capital murder rate. -40 degreees celcius in the winter and mosquitos in the summer.

Montreal: Everyone smokes, women dressed to the nines at all times, french speaking Canadians are a$$holes.

Toronto: world revolves around them (or so they think)

Vancouver: We have a winner. Moderate temps, beautiful mountains in the background. Ever increasing population with decent employment opportunites.

People from Alberta may try and convince you Calgary is the best city in Canada, but don't let them fool you. The city has no character.

If you want mild temperatures, you need to go to Vancouver. EVERYWHERE else is crazy cold.

For living, Toronto is best but expensive inside the city - so I would go with Ottawa. That way, you can be a Senators fan like the rest of us losers.

Just make sure that you like the rain if you plan on moving to Vancouver.

I live in Toronto, but I constantly hear that Victoria (and anywhere on Victoria Island) is awesome as far as the weather and scenery goes.

Crime? No worries anywhere in the country except for a few poor hoods in the 3 big cities.

Jobs? Alberta. The economy is FLYING thanks to their oil industry. But Calgary is about the lamest city to live in culturally.

Women? Toronto and Montreal. London, Ontario (University of Western Ontario... whoa). Thnk every spoiled hottie in Ontario aged 18-25.

Halifax, NS is the gem of the east coast. Very cool night life and beautiful countryside.

If you're a bohemian, try Nelson, BC.

winters not that cold in Toronto, If you have to work at a real job (or a poker pro) and like fast pace city life (nitelife) TO is the place to be. Many nice smaller suburbs to call home. Vancouver (Outdoorsman paradise) close second!

If you want sheer beauty than its Vancouver the city is stunning with the Rocky Mountians in the background. However it rains ALOT plus it rains when you don't even see it coming since the weather changes so quickly there.

Calgary is a great city too. Not big enough to be considered a huge city but still big enough where you don't feel like you are living in a small town. As for not having character there you didn't see the night life during the Flames stanley cup run. Red Mile was amazing after a Flames win. All I gotta say is check out this site

Winky you would like it....enough said about Calgary plus girls in cowboy hats are sexy.

Toronto is the centre of Canada for a reason. The rest of the country hates us (most with vaild reasons) Toronto is the 5th largest city in North American plus it really mini cities within a city since there are Little Italy, Asian, Latin, Portuguese, Greek....basically you name it. Plus good or bad its the city that is most closely American as you can find in Canada. Great nightlife for a city of 6 million people and it's pretty safe when you compare it to other cities of the same size. You are also never too far away from anything since it's the major airline hub in Canada so you can get a direct flight anywhere in the world. I can go on both good or bad so if you wanna ask anymore questions feel free.

Montreal is a great party town. The french thing still really throws me off. Everyone smokes since no one got the memo that its bad for you. But boy can they party. However everything is in French first. The street names, traffic signs, menu's you name it. Hell if you wanna play blackjack in the casino it's called Jack Noir.

I loved Ottawa and Kingston the few years I was stationed in upstate New York, but its darned cold during winter months (and winters are longer than most places). We walked the streets of Ottawa at all hours and never a problem...try that in our Washington DC.

Vancouver will be in top 5 richest cities within 20 years.
