Fellas, what in the hell is going on in Norman?? Are the natives not yet restless for new blood? It sure seems to me that Stoops tried to throw Norvell under the bus last year only to end up having that bite him in the ass, literally, as Norvell knew EXACTLY how to expose a terribly overrated DC in Mike Stoops! How in the hell is Mike Stoops still employed at a school like OU?

Talk to me OU buddies----- when will Stoops "step down"? It sure feels a lot like the end of Mack's tenure in Austin. Stoops, like Mack, I'm sure has all the right friends in his corner, but at some point the writing on the wall is just to clear to ignore, and like at TEXAS, the longer OU waits the further they fall behind in the arms race.

A potential theory; OU hires Sumlin either after this season or next once Sumlin has some pretty serious success at A&M. No matter what Aggies want to tell themselves, A&M will never be on the same level as a USC, TEXAS, OU, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, etc.

It's always so fun to beat OU especially as a 17 point underdog and +700 ML winner! The state fair is always better when UT wins. G'day!

Alright JB...You're back.....I was beginning to worry about you. I know damn well you were at the Texas/Oklahoma game. It had to be a wild (and hot) Saturday night in Austin and the surrounding area after that huge win. Would you mind sharing with us how you made-out with the women.....We all know about the large stable of the "cuties" that you keep in the fold on the week-ends after the game. Rumor has it that takes you till Tuesday and sometimes Wednesdays after a win to you to recover. Maybe you should slow down a little.....You're not a Kid anymore.

Seriously JB............What are the sentiments toward Strong and the job he is doing with the faithful. First that embarrassing loss to TCU and then, the unbelievable trouncing the Longhorns laid on Oklahoma a week later.....Talk about performance-swings...unbelievable.

One game does not make a season. Right now here are the stats for OU and Texas:

Total Offense: OU #18, Texas #105
Scoring Offense: OU #13, Texas #94
Total Defense: OU #23, Texas 113
Scoring Offense: OU 24, Texas 103

And some people are thinking Strong is finally arriving and Stoops is out of steam. Then comes Kansas St and OU shows what it is capable of. Texas has much more to prove so we shall see. Pretty hard to go undefeated this season. Ohio St has had some close ones. Just about any team at this point is capable of losing a given game. If anyone does ever replace Stoops I would be for Justin Fuente.

Gosh, the "flagship" program in the State of Texas gone......I guess time (and a few bad coaches) can change everything. Darrell Royal must be turning over in his grave.

Nice troll thread. Texas has become just another spoiler program. Their new big game wont be some New Year's Day bowl game, it will be being able to take down another top ten team (in their own state no less). Or as they say in the music industry, "one hit wonders".

i was gald strong got the win, i still think he is a very good coach and a man to lead young kids. he has had to change a culture that got bad at texas, he will win at texas and I dont see him quitting or leaving.. he is not the type to quit..

I might as well jump in on this...

Yes, Texas is 2-4 and definitely isn't going to win a national championship this year. However, Texas has played 4 top 25 teams in 6 games, and the games against Cal and OSU could've easily went Texas' way going down to the wire. UT could be sitting 4-2 right now beating 3 top 25 teams. Granted, a loss is a loss. I'm just saying, they have a tough schedule and yes, they aren't great, but they sure aren't a team to sleep on and the OU win was proof of that.

With that being said, I'm going to support JBLonghorn here for this reason...if you are a Texas fan, and you can't win a national championship, then you sure as hell better beat OU. Beating OU was our championship this season. All Longhorn fans are excited about that win.

Additionally, don't get onto JBL because he is boasting and running his mouth because if Texas lost we would be hearing from all of the Sooner fans. That's just what happens with huge rivals like UT and OU.
