If this mavs game isnt the straw that broke the camels back then i dont know what is, the refs just absoluteley cost the mavs the game, they call fouls left and right and they dont call the most obvious foul of all. It is time to start suspending refs without pay so they can give two shits about getting the call right. The refs have truned an incredibly talented league into an almost unwatchable league cause of how awful they are. this is the last nba game I am wacthing this year.

its basketball. its perception. 2 people can be watching the same game. 1 screams oh my god foul, the other guy says where.

i can tell you in the playoffs that call was a good no call.

regular season you'd see it called.

The refs spent the whole game giving the Mavericks all the calls. Hell, that last play was in theory supposed to help the Mavericks as well.

A foul shouldn't be "a perception". Dallas had a foul to give and they gave it. Unfortunately for them, the ref didn't call the obvious foul. What a joke the NBA is.

I've said this for some time now about officials in the NFL, but it should pertain to all sports like the NBA as you said above.

Players get fined when they screw up, so why shouldn't officials.....

89 Free Throws

EIGHTY NINE!

And they don't call when they should

We will be lucky to see half that many free throws in Atlanta & Cleveland's game tonight.....

im talking about you and i sitting in front of the TV watching the game.

i didnt think it was a foul.your calling for a league investigation.

playoff basketball 8 out of 10 times they dont make that call. plus refs cant guess intent.

dallas has nobody to blame but themselves.

1. you play until you hear the whistle
2. you make it obvious. you think it was obvious, i dont.

I know there are people that just like to argue, and you sound like one of them. With a foul to give in that situation the refs will call the slightest attempt at a foul, THat was a terrible no call, stop arguing for the sake of the argument. Take a poll right now and i guarantee you 80 percent will say that was an awful no call, and the other twenty percent are idiots like you who just want to argue.

it wasnt a terrible no call because it wasnt an obvious foul. your whole argument is the refs shouldve called it because dallas was expecting them to call it. your whole argument is flawed.

I do agree with you, dallas thought it was over when terry hit the three, and they gave up a dunk with 2 seconds coming of the clock, and put up a weak fadaway their next posession. Dallas absoultely is to blame for this loss, but the refs are too. THere is no telling if nuggets would have made a shot or not had the correct call been made, but 9 out of 10 times in that situation, that fouls is called. the mavs should be kicking themselves, the refs had nothing to do with giving up a dunk in 2 seconds, and putting up a gay fadaway at thier end. bad call, and bad play cost the mavs the game.

actually stern is the best commish of the 3 major sports.

That's your opinion.
I've been watching the NBA over 30 years and this by far the worst product on the court and David Stern is a major part of the problem.

Is he the worst Commissioner...No that award goes to Bud Selig.

samhain your wrong. stern had to soften up the league because it got the image of being a thug league with guys like lambeer and rodman literally knocking people out on the court. stern did what goodall is doing now, softening the league. i assume you also believe the NFL isnt as good as it once was, with not being able to touch the QB, etc. they do that though for image, and to protect there stars like the NBA.

remember where this league was before he took over and where it is now. this was a cult league like the NHL is now, and now it is a premier sports league with a global fan base worth billions of dollars.

the product is different today because it had to be toned down to be mainstream.

thankfully in the playoffs you see more of the physicality.

its different then 30 years ago, not necessarily worse. the changes have definently made the sport better off though and more marketable.
