Rasmussen Reports Democrats in America are evenly divided on the question of whether George W. Bush knew about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance. Thirty-five percent (35%) of Democrats believe he did know, 39% say he did not know, and 26% are not sure.

And people poke fun at me for calling the Democrats moonbats.

My only thought on the subject is whether moonbats are actually that stupid.

Bush is too stupid and so would never have been in the inner circle were a conspiracy in the works.

I don't think Bush is that stupid - but the Dems do - so how could a guy who has so mismanaged the occupation, mastermind such a complicated conspiracy.

If you were planning an inter-gov't conspiracy that would result in the certain deaths of thousands of your citizens, would YOU let Bush in on the secret?

Seriously?

Or would you only include those people who had a half-assed idea of how to talk - and NOT talk - in the public square?

No WAY Bush would have been in on it. No way in hell.

Is this another one of those "Answer 4 Questions" threads where the guy posts twelve questions?

Something like 35% of Republicans think the Iraqi government was involved with the 9/11 attacks on NYC.

Just goes to show that at any given moment, one in three people is pretty wacky.

XPANDA aptly notes that it's quite unlikely Uncle Dick and his neocon cronies let George in on the plans for Sept 11.

Much smarter to just put him on a plane to Sarasota and instruct him to sit at the table with the Little Kids.

The grownups had important work to do that day.

Not saying I don't believe you, anything is possible, but I'd like to see that particular poll - I assume you can show it to me.

This particular poll demonstrates that prior to the 2006 elections, 65% of Republicans polled believed Saddam Hussein was involved with the 9/11 attacks.

My own use of "35%" was more in line with making the needed quip.

Obviously my humor understated the potential for Republican wacky-ism.

Barman, you are presuming that nearly half of those Republicans who thought Saddam was involved in 9/11 now realise he wasn't.

Awfully presumptuous, no??

Base,

When my daughter was in college I told her that class rank or GPA's don't mean much to most employers. Get your c's and the piece of paper. When I worked at the State Dept. you needed a post graduate degree for my GS level. I had an appropriate major but I worked w/ folks who had degrees in every field imaginable but the Fed CS just asked for a post grad degree.

Bush's problem is not w/ his education level, it is with his leadership ability beyond his cowboy stage that worked for awhile. He picked the wrong fight at the wrong time and it is biting him in the ass now. He refuses to admit his mistakes and like I have said all along, he is way in over his head because of his stubborness and being a myopic true believer.

LBJ fell into the same trap in Nam. He was actually considering sending more troops even to the bitter end. Like Bush he became isolated and delusional, although his intent was honorable.

Bar, I meant your war, against the war on drugs. Hash seems to be the drug of choice in France. I can't understand it. The French must not of heard of Amsterdam yet. No real war going on over there. Makes you understand why most Americans are so uptight. Had to update my chillum skills again.
