McCain is all talk, no substance when it comes to government spending and balancing the budget. Tries to talk tough about tiny amounts of earmarks or whatever but when it comes down to it he'll have no problem with running up more record deficits and increasing the size of the government budget the way Bush has.

And Obama just wants to redistirbute the wealth of people who are successful. Punish people who are successful, and give to people who aren't. That's fair.

Bullshit talking point. His plan wouldn't raise the top rates any higher than they were while Clinton was President.

..Do you realize:

The guy who makes $2 million/year and pays 20% tax pays $400K in taxes; the guy who makes $25k/yr. and pays 10% in taxes pays $2.5K in taxes.

Why do you want to soak the guy paying $397.5K more in taxes even more??..>>

I'll tellya why..>>>you don't make a lotta money and you want the other guy to pay your fair share..

Pay for what you use..!!

I can't find the washington post link but here it is from daily kos...an ultra ultra ultra crazy liberal blog...nevertheless, the important thing is the graphic

it's on the tax issue

http://images.dailykos.com/images/user/28416/GR2008061200193.jpeg

I’ve never read the daily kos not even for amusement. For the sake of argument lets assume the information is correct. McCain will reduce over all taxes by 2% and BO by 0.3%. Where McCain wants tax cuts for everyone, BO wants it for middle class only. If you are a socialist BO’s cuts are fair. If you are a conservative his cuts are redistribution of wealth. I fall in the “it will be good for me category” as I will see an additional $723 in pocket. The extra money I will receive is not a life changing amount, as a matter of fact it will be invisible. What I believe will happen is the money taken from the “wealthy” will lessen the investment power of those that drive the economy. I will forego the $723 in hopes that the country and of course the market will rebound in witch case that $723 will look like chump change compared to what I will profit. I won’t even go into the capital gains, wind fall profits scenarios as I believe they are more socialist agendas.

That chart AND Obamas Tax plan is misleading. No wait the chart is misleading Obamas tax plan is bold face rip off.
Step #1...reverse Bushs Tax cuts. (This tax cut was around $2200 for a 50K cpl with 4 deps)
#2...Give a 50K cpl with 4 deps a $1500 tax cut.

Im not the smartest , well wait a minute this is the political forum, No matter how smart u are u can see that under Obamer a 50K cpl with 4 deps wil get a TAX INCREASE under Obamer of about $700 .

Obama should b pick Sheila Jackson as his running mate their i.q.'s are about the same....
