Any one know of any reason why this line has jumped 5 points from WF -17 to WF -22 in about 3 hours?

Here's my guess, and i'm just throwing this out there. Off the top of my head, the only mid-major teams thus far that has covered a spread vs a ranked opponent is Rhode Island vs Duke and Jacksonville vs Georgetown. For the most part the top 25 teams have been blowing their non conference foes out of the water and people are picking up on the low lines.

You may be right off the top of my head, Miami of Ohio covered against UCLA Richmond covered against the Cuse and for some people depending on when they bet it Davidson covered against Oklahoma

I haven't seen Syracuse ranked anywhere.....Oklahoma was facing a ranked opponent so that didn't factor into what I was talking about. Miami OH covered vs UCLA, Penn covered vs UNC, New Mexico St vs USC, Long Beach St vs Wisky. Like I said, it was just off the top of my head. Purdue has covered both of their games so far, Michigan St, Gonzaga, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee, Florida have covered every game they've played so far. I'm not going to continue going down the line, but looking at it, it appears that Top 25 teams fitting this situation are hitting around a 70% clip at covering the spread.

May just have more to do with the high expectations of WF this year and Wilmington just not having the size down-low to match up with one of the deepest and most talented front lines in college basketball.

this is very true, also WF is getting a lot of hype this year in a stacked conference. however, UNCW is not a roll-over team, as the past couple of years have shown the CAC is a very tough conference (VCU vs Duke '07)

This is it. In an interview, an oddsmaker at LVSC said Wake is a top 15 team (about 2 weeks ago). They certainly are deep and got big guys.

Bottom line:
Wake starting 3 freshman and 2 sophomore - they are good, but, they played an exhibition game against a team that won 4 games last year.

UNCW scoring over 100+ in their first 2 games. 40% from 3 pt land (they rely on the 3 so they have some shooters) -- starting 4 juniors and a sophomore. They have played together several years now.

Pick UNCW +21.5. This one is a no-brainer for me. I will take the experience and a team that knows how to score any day of the week against a Wake team that has yet to prove themselves against a somewhat decent team

UNCW was getting blown out in both games this year before coming back in the 2nd half...If they get down by dd's in the first half they have no s hot of staying with Wake

I thought that Wake started 1 freshman, 2 sophomores and 2 juniors?

I know one thing, if the total continues to rise I'm going to play the under for sure. Almost everybody throws up big numbers vs. Troy and Appy St.
See some 169s out there, I'm going under if it hits 170
