A home ,condo... not a trailer ( not even double-wide).

Preferably a regular asz home, a condo is OK, but no trailors. Where's the value these days. Do we move to Nebraska ? How cheap is cheap ? Kansas, Iowa, even R-Kansas ?

motive of thread has meaning to me, fight it out brothers ! I seek your thougts !

This should pull some response !

Indiana appears very cheap at this time.

Apparrently everybody is moving out of the state because of the proposed gambling bill, therefore would not recommend moving there.

KANSAS appears undervalued.

Stay away from California and Nevada.

Swampland or Quicksand...

Seriously though, look for a Death or Divorce situation and you will inevitably get a much better deal...

"Seriously I hear Houston is a great value". Yeah, but then you would be stuck living there.

Most of Texas looks cheap. I don't know the state but have heard Corpus Christi is nice area.

Here's a cheapie in NC, I don't know the area either. Decent size, newer, 3br 2ba for 65k.

My realtor told me of 12k condos in SC, I haven't found those. The above looks to offer a lot for little money. There must be a downside to it.

Areas in Texas near the Mexico border is dirt cheap and draws many snowbirds. Yuma used to be very cheap, but has gone up.

For a city with halfway decent weather El Paso isn't a bad choice. Just don't try to work there, no jobs and lousy pay for those that get them. For this crowd it may be a good choice gambling at Sunland Park, short flight to Vegas, can get wild down in the sports books in Juarez, and a better hoops team than ODU!

I agree An almost 2,000 sf home in a coastal area for about 100k with a presumably nice climate looks good on the surface to me. I didn't dig hard to find that either !

My brother ( in COLO) would hate me if I moved to Texas. Coloradans don't like Texans.

That ( Corpus Christi) area seems way cheap, at first glance !

if you want to make some money on your investment...

buy something in d.c., maryland, virginia, new york, or california.

property values are going up in excess of 15% per year in those states.
