before you arrive in Vegas?

I know Fishhead mentioned something about this a few months back and was just wondering if anyone has had luck using certain techniques?

I know honesty is the best policy and you don't want to tell them you're a bigger player than you are, but what are they looking for in terms of play before they look into comping you rooms, dinners, etc?

also I have another question

when your playing BJ or craps and your a small player like $10 a hand is it worth it to let the pitt boss know you want to be rated for comps??? or are you to small to even earn any.

thanks

the best thing to say is:

"I am a regular at the RX"

saying that they will give you the world.

Just tell them you plan on playing max bet on dollar slots or VP all day.

You will pay for nothing, including room service and meals at the Casino's finest eating establishments.

The main problem being ...

You actually have to play slots or VP all day ... Arrrrrggggggggg !

If you're interested in hustling the comp system at casinos, I'd recommend you pick up the comp "bible." It's called Comp City by Max Rubin. It'll tell you everything you ever wanted to know from getting free drinks to comped suites and limos.

And after you get smacked in the face, maybe they'll give you a free drink ticket:drink:

Now maybe if i say "I OWN the RX...."

MY FIANCE IS VERY ATTRACTIVE AND I USUALLY HAVE HER ASK FOR THE COMP FROM A MALE HOST/ BOSS (if it's just meal or something small) she never gets turned down even for our smaller or brifer action. I'd be waiting hours for if it were me asking.

All depends on where you play really. If your playing 10 dollar BJ on the strip most places won't even rate you and the few that do you'd have to play for hours on end before they'll even consider giving you a buffet comp. For example at the luxor $225 a hand in blackjack for 4 hours will get you a free room nothing less. If you stay downtown or off strip $25 dollars a hand for 4 hours will usually get you free room and board.

As a whole if you are a table game player unless you putting down major money don't expect much comps on the strip....casino's love VP or slot players those are where most of the comp dollars go to.

The best deal on the strip in regards to comps is at the stardust there still going at the $25 dollars a hand for 4 hours for a free room.

She might have to also blow the Casino and Hotel Manager, hey it's better than playing dollar slots all day and a hell of a lot cheaper ... :toast:

David Matthews beat me to it, "Comp City" is a must read. Also, I will shill for the Las Vegas Advisor if you are a low roller.
I advise being pleasant, introducing yourself, finding out exactly how that specific casino's comp system works and always ask for just a little (not a lot) more than what you have.
Be gracious and thank them or send a personal note. You'd be amazed that two people who have the exact same play can get completely different rewards just from their interaction with bosses and hosts.
