So what would you suggest is a good sportsbook for wagering on the ponies?

I have a pinny and want others so ... what are some other suggestions?

Thanks guys

Orbit:

I am unable to remember the titles of a couple of quality books I have read and no longer have them, but they are based on speed handicapping by Andrew Beyer and another by Professor Gordon Jones. Perhaps some of our horse racing colleagues can remember the titles because I'm pretty sure they have either read them or are aware of them. Anyone?

I am doing a Google search.

CRIS

Agree with Michael777. Full track odds. Bets do not go into the mutual pool. 3% rebate on WPS and 8% on exotics. And as stated, takes bets right up until the gates open. Pinnacle closes slightly in advance to the actual gate opening and other books close betting based on the morning post time.

BODOG has a nice rebate offer for betting on horses. They also allow pick 3 and 4 which a few books I've tried don't...

the only thing you need to look at is

-rebate
-max payouts

I think Pinny is superior to just about everyone else on both of these

I used to bet at a place called ehorse.com.

It only does horses and you can play every track at full odds. I remember it was great and I just checked, it's still there.

BUT, you can't beat the horses!

Look into TVG-if you bet they give you free video from many tracks plus they pay full track odds.

BetWWTS & Cybersportsbook which are under same company offer, weekly horse racing cash back. Its a pre determined percentage of your wagers.

You get it automatically without having to email or call.

Love it.
