There is just so many things wrong with the McCain campaign. Here is what you can do to make our country a better place. Help make a difference, make your voice count. Do any or all of the following, plus whatever else you like to do.
In general:
  • Don't take a chance - GO OUT AND VOTE.
  • Get 5 of your friends - who would not have normally voted - to vote against McCain, and ask each of these friends to find 5 more to do the same.
  • Become politically active, go out and get people to sign up to vote.
  • Donate, volunteer, become active, make a difference.
To help this website, and join our community:
  • Send a link to everyone you know, urging them to go to www.fightmccain.com and ask them to send the link to everyone they know.
  • Text and Instant Message www.fightmccain.com to everyone you know, and ask them to do the same.
  • Go to all of your network websites (facebook, myspace, etc) and post a link to this website there, ask people to visit the site.
  • Go to as many blogs as you can, post intelligent comments, and urge people to visit this website.
  • Link to us from your website (we can return the favor).
  • Post comments to news articles, email and call news agencies, and demand that they start telling the truth, and tell them about this website.
  • Talk to people and ask them to visit this website.
This election is to important to the future of our country. Do not sit back and do nothing. Vote for Barack Obama and spread the word to your friends and family. Four more years of the crooked Bush agenda is unthinkable especially if you have children who will be the real victims of McCain's lies.

all you need to know about the Flip Flop Express. This video alone swung independent votes Obama's way.

What's funny to me, is people actually think one candidate is better than the other. They are both on the same fucking team.

Saw it live the first time.

We're still both voting for him Wednesday when we cast our Early Votes.

JOEL, if I were measuring on the "What Has He Done" scale, I could at best put the two leading candidates in a tie, with a lean to Obama.

That because the only legislation authored by McCain which has passed into law in over two decades in Congress would be the odious "McCain/Feingold" shredding of the First Amendment.

===
As per your other inference, I - like you most likely - am confident that the next eight years will be the best we (my wife, I and my family) have ever had, regardless of who is elected President next week.

I also feel that the domestic needs of the USA will best be addressed by an Obama administration during the coming eight years as he will - unlike McCain - take our federal focus off of controlling and building Middle East infrastructure and rechanneling our primary focus back into the USA.

In the event McCain is elected, I am confident that US military intervention and involvement within the Middle East will continue to increase - all to the detriment of the 50 states of the USA.

I must disagree with my stoned compadre on this one. Of course McCain gets a boner when he mentions a bomb, with that said all BO is doing is just taking form Iraq and putting them right back into Afghanistan. This fucking parade of perpetual endless wars will continue to be a drain on our treasure and blood as we continue to fund and fight wars that cannot be won. Well, hey i guess we did corner the market on the heroin supply. Its a fucking disgrace if you ask me. And before any of you neocons chime in with "If we dont fight them over there"....non sense, start readdressing your positions in the form of a question of yourself. Its not "if we dont" its "because we cant afford it".

I did answer that question by specifically noting that the "What has he done" question is not much of a factor for me this year.

If it were a factor, I'd have to say that Obama's lack of notable accomplishments during his less than four years in the US Senate is certainly no worse than McCain's essential lack of accomplishments during his own 24 years in the US Senate.

===

With regard to the "potential" for future positive accomplishments within Washington DC, I am far more confident in the political muscle of Obama/Biden working with the US Congress than I am McCain/Podunk.

I can't disagree with the possibility that an Obama led military will inevitably commit an equal amount of resources to the Mideast as has BushCo.

But I think it remains to be seen.

I believe the domestic needs of the USA are sliding into such drastic need that the President over the next eight years will be forced to divert military expenditures back home to the domestic USA.

And on that belief, I think that Obama is far more likely to give that needed response than would McCain, who I believe couldn't give a shit what happens within the domestic USA during the next eight years because he and his have theirs, so fuck everyone else.

Yup barfly, it's to the point that we'll see some kind of New Deal, part deux.

It's about time, since about 30% of our damns, and 50% of our bridges are in critical shape.

Barman made his point quite clear, I think. He acknowledges that Obama hasn't accomplished much yet but believes he would still be the better president. Not the greatest line of argumentation, certainly. But before you attack it, what accomplishments of McCain make you vote for him?
