The first offshore book I used was Bowmans back when they were phone-only and known as Sports Action International (not to be confused with SIA). Pretty sure Intertops was my first online book.

In the 80's there were private phone only books in the Dominican Republic. The DR was referred to as The Island. Back then everything was credit (thru agents). The internet has caused incredible changes as far as betting options go - props and halftime or quarterly betting was rare. You could bet the big 4 sports - foots, bases, hoops, ice, and natrually horses.
