Last year it was a very profitable fade on those teams, especially if they switched to a spread offense.

Miami U. New coaching staff, new offense. They will actually use the TE and a FB this year. QB job up for grabs. Tough schedule with very few early home games.

FW, I haven't put them all together yet, but it seems like there are several. The thing is, it's not just teams with new coaches, either. There are several with new coordinators or even some that are making a more "hurry up" style like Oklahoma did last season. I'll be giving out more info on these teams in the weeks to come.

ASU is going to the spread... first year for it too. I question that move for a few reasons, but first that comes to mind is QB Sullivan, kind of a stand up guy if you get my drift. But then so was Roper at Oregon and he wasn't exactly worthless. Nevertheless, have a feeling that even HC Dennis Erickson won't be expecting much from his offense. ASU will be banking heavily on their defense to keep them in games. Overall, I think their game totals will be too high and they could easily take a while to get down to where they belong. Very decent chance of that to happen. Very... but as with most things like this, some spots will be better than others.

From what I've read, I don't think that asu is going whole hog into the spread but looking to incorporate it in instances. Perhaps ASU can shed more light on this. Either way they don't have the trigger man to pull it off.

ASU may be changing over to the spread, because Sophmore QB Szakacsy is very mobile and likes to throw on the run. If the ASU offense is dormant at mid-season, look for a change in QB and in offensive philosophy.

How does the ex-Mich qb fit in at ASU (Threet)? I know he has to sit out this year.
