I still can't see how a team such as the Badgers with a with a legitimate Heisman candidate leading their offense
end up taking a 55-0 shellacking in a high-profile game on National TV like they did. Ohio State is a good, well-coached team that deserves to have a shot at the NC but (55-0 "good"....Ouch) in a Championship game ? Hard to believe. It sure doesn't speak well for the conference. Would a 35-17 win have been sufficient to have the selection committee place the Buckeyes into the play-offs. I know a lot of their fans would have been satisfied with a
margin of victory of that size going into the game.
Another question that begs to be answered: How many QB's will be transferring from Columbus ? :think2:

looked like the same thing that happened in pac12 game. a total lay down for the good of the conference.

Now, if we had an 8 team system and the power5 conferences got the conf champion in (note to big12, no co-champs)......we'd have MUCH better games with so much on the line.
Then a terrific fight for the final 3 spots....

Couldn't agree more sdf........(8) teams. Let the bowl games fall where they belong.....
Yet, I'm still shocked with that final score. What about having (3) QB's on the Ohio State Rooster of their caliber ?

First of all, you guys have to stop with this "lay down" B.S. It is about as dumb as it gets. You probably think that half the games played are fixed. Those being the games that you wagered on and lost. If you cannot prove it, keep your mouths shut. It is absoultely incredable that you guys come up with garbage like this.

As far as the Big 10 CC game is concerned, many of these games are routs. Funny how your memories seem to fail you while you are trying to make a point. What about the 2012 season when Nebraska was a 3 point favorite against Wisconsin and Wisky won 70-31? What do you call that? Certainly not a close game.

As far as Ohio State's QB problems are concerned, Miller should go pro. Too many players blow their chances to go and then get hurt. Another injury to Miller and his pro career is all but over. The other two must stay. Barrett is now damaged goods and you just never know how those ankle breaks are going to heal.

Not suggesting a conspiracy at all. It didn't surprise me why Ohio State showed-up full of piss & vinegar (they knew they had a chance to go some where. What baffles me is, what in hell happened to the Badgers ? That kind of shellacking begs to ask: What happened during the week leading to the game, practice/game preparation, the travel arrangements, the pre-game meal, etc. We all know Ohio State is a good, well coached football team.....A lot of people knew Wisconsin was the favorites.....So, what really happened? The post-mortems will follow in the days and weeks ahead (at least in Madison).

Not defending the post but it has been proven that games have been fixed so it is not like it is completely unrealistic. Plus if you really think that potential paydays for a conference do not come into play, you are being naive. It is not just gamblers who feel this way, even coaches have pointed it out after blatant miscalls went against them. A good example of this was when then head coach Mangino at Kansas called out the Big 12 for screwing them in a game for the better of the conference due to what was on the line for their opponent.

Keep in mind that Wisc lost to LSU at a neutral site, and to NW in an away game. In another away game they got by Iowa 26-24. Not so good away from home. I give Urban Legend kudos for a job well done when it really counted. Had it not been for the first QB injury they probably would have gone undefeated. Wisconsin was favored and I did not really get it at the time. I could find no reason not to take the points and did. Meyer has his team peaking at the right time.

Peaking at the right-time. Isn't that how most Championships come-to-pass in all sports. Now is the time when these coaches have to deal with some serious considerations and I don't mean just X's & O's.....the long lay-offs (4) weeks plus a few side-trips thrown-in for good measure (home for the Holidays). FSU should keep Winston under a 24 hour curfew-watch. A few others as well. Boys will be boys.

So you are using an alleged incident from 2007 to prove your point? I do not doubt that points have been shaved so a dog could cover, but prove it. In Hoops, we all know that this happens occasionally, but I have not seen this proved in College Football. Conjecture is NOT proof.

Now the real reason comes out for your fustrations. You lost your tail on FSU. Do not try to make excuses for your wagering losses. You lost because you took the wrong team. PERIOD!!! NO EXCUSES!!!

I agree and I am sure they are doing just that. Winston is bailing out 30 seconds after his last game is over. He could care less about Florida State and wants to avoid charges. Jimbo knows this, so one would think he has an armed guard around Winston.

JMO but the result was a factor of:

1. OSU jumping out to a lead and exposing just how one dimensional Wisc offense was and how inept they were defending the deep pass.

2. OSU playing over their heads on both offense and defense. I doubt this will be repeated. Forget the loss to VTech early in the season. This is the same team PaSt took to double overtime and that struggled with Indiana and Minn the last few weeks. Which team is the real OSU is my question?

The one thing OSU has over everybody in their conference is overall team speed. They can really crank it up when they want to. It showed against Michigan State. And it showed again against Wisky. OSU +4.5 was probably one of the easiest plays that I made all season.

I agree. I personally hope it will be a good game but I'm afraid they are in for a big surprise with the talent and speed of Bama. Bama faces speed every week and in practice as well. Somehow OSU's QB has to have a big game running the ball for it to be close IMO.

I'm pretty confident Bama will take care of business in their first game. It's their second game that I'm not so sure about...

I agree Gs. I think this might be the worst team Bama has had in the last several years. As always, however, in Oregon games it seems to always boil down to them getting manhandled in the trenches. Mariotta is probably the big wild card as Bama seems to have the most trouble with mobile QB's.

I guess you forgot about the 6 players from Toledo who were charged for conspiracy due to being paid to alter the outcome of basketball & football games.
